There is an access function, you need to include <io.h> on windows.

you don't new to know C++ to compile something, you only need the compiler and the necesary libraries.
I would be happy to help you but i only use linux (i made a script to compile both zzogl and pcsx2 automaticaly) and i don't want to spend two hours instaling Visual Studio on a virtual machine (slow T_T) and configuring everything.
If you can fix a computer (hard and soft) then it shouldn't be that hard for you to find out, just install some visual studio (no idea which), look for the libraries that you need, and place them in the default visual studio's include folder and then compile.

f*** (aka tl;dr) looking at it, it's over 9000 times easier to compile under linux ^_^

the script is for linux only, so unless u use linux it won't work
just wait till someone uploads a new version for windows, that happens arround 1 or 2 days after a new revision.
i compile the linux versions because i didn't see anyone willing to do it so i had no choise but to do it myself
