Please tell me about this error.
I am new to PCSX2 but I followed the intructions above.

Then I got the following error:

Error while moving file: You can’t save the file “dosdevices” because the volume “65683370-F3D9-4008-88D9-0B8DC3EF9636” is read only.

Hoping you can help

Thanks!

I don't know what that message means, hopefully firelad97 will reply to you. But FYI PROM runs over Wine so you might google your error message with "wine" as the keyword.

Move the wrapper to a writable volume.

Catalina is at 10.15.1 and I tried this PROM on an iMac 2017 with amd radeon pro 555 2 gb
but it won't work.

Should I try with VirtualBox or just go to BootCamp /dual boot?

Oh, geez, so sorry for not checking in sooner! It's been very busy around here lately. I apologize.

Regarding Catalina... I will tackle this issue and see what I can fix. Apparently I compiled the 64 bit verison that runs on 32 bit wine, after some researching. My fault on this. As of now, PROM does not work on Catalina for now. I'll keep testing and update you guys on it when I can.

(I am running on Catalina right now, but I'll also test on Mojave too. I installed wine on Catalina just fine, I need to figure out what's wrong with PROM not running.)

The plugins folder should be found in by opening the app package contents. Do this way exactly:
- Right-click PROM.app and click "Show Package Contents"
- Go to drive_c/Program Files (86x)/PCSX2 and you will find the folder you're looking for

EDIT: Yeah, I found out that Wine itself is completely 32-bit, so therefore it cannot be ran on Catalina. The best solution I can offer for now is to use BootCamp, a VM, or downgrade back to Mojave or older. I'll keep researching though ... until I find a way.

EDIT2: I found the solution. A tweak/hack called "wine32on64" and will be able to run on Catalina that way. I will update the post soon!

EDIT3: This will take a while. PROM successfully opens on Catalina, however it crashes as soon as it tries to run the game. I am working on it right now.

Good news everyone. I got PROM running as intended on Catalina 10.15. However, expect some bugs or glitches. Here's the screenshoot as a proof. I will be updating it soon, look forward to the next post!

Hi, I'm running 10.15.2 and the first time configuration keeps hanging after pressing next (multiple tries after forced quit)...
Any ideas?
