Yea, go ahead and drop 2010 then.
Dropping 2012 should be done only if it provides any benefit more than "cleaning up".

I think we should keep 2 previous versions of VS, at least for 6 months/1 year after the release of a new version.

for example now VS2013 is the latest, so we should keep 2012.
when VS2015 comes out, we keep VS2013 and 2012
6 months or 1 year after VS2015 release, we have projects only for VS2015 and VS2013.

Seems good for me. Anyway vs2012 supports various c++11 features so it is fine. But I guess kid want to have c++14 or the next one...
