Really...i would of thought that 64 bit instructions would speed things up...humm interesting.

Running server 2008 64 version, which is practically vista 64 + awsomness

but from the amount of unix users it sounds like you should drop unix first... seeing that they are less than 20% of the user base and i even doubt they have that much.
When you do drop support, "would you kindly" update the tutorials for Linux, I really have no idea what to install on my Linux 64 box in order to run 32 bit applications... If you could just write up a small guide under the Linux sticky, I would be grateful. Unsure
So if I'm on 64bit Vista I'm screwed concerning future updates? Also, I find it amusing that the polls are showing a majority of 64 bit users.

Edit: That's not meant to be condescending and obviously it doesnt even matter, you've already gone ahead with it, i just find it amusing.

64-bit versions of windows can (by design) execute 32-bit software, it'd be fairly useless otherwise. future versions of pcsx2 will work fine for you, as have past versions - you probably haven't been running an x64 version this whole time Smile
In actuality Window 64 os actually runes 32 bit processes better than the 32 bit OS does

I fully support this decision. If there is no significant performance gain (for the effort to code/maintain) to be had in a x64 build and most of the user base is running x32 then this is the correct choice. Thanks to all the dev's for taking the time to explain the reasoning behind dropping x64.

+1.

If there's no gain from a 64bit build, then the time to have it updated will be better spent on the 32bit build. Funny how i always though being natively 64bit always added up at least a bit for performance, now i see it also depends on the way it is coded Ninja.
Focus one thing and do the best.

Wise decision.
I think it's a wise decision.
Will the poll reflect/alter the decision already made?
