I think this is the one but I dunno if anything's relevant. (or this is CRC thing is right)

Your crc"]8AA991B0" wasn't added in the code , I created a Pull Request about it and should be merged within the next few days.

Well yes , you can read more about it here. What it does and how it actually works Smile

I got some luck with using the latest PCSX2 1.4.0 version though. It runs pretty smooth by using hardware. Is this on Trial Mountain or something?

I would use OpenGL if you want the best accuracy so far. I've actually found DX11 to perform worse with GT3, yet be less accurate. Also, there is no brightness adjustment in GT3. That's in GT4, and that's to fix a similar issue with that game. Of course, that fix doesn't apply to GT3.

It doesn't have to be brightness/contrast control. Other effects might work in the same way. Basically all GT games , MGS3 , Tekken 5 , Tourist Trophy , Tales Of Abyss , Urban Chaos Crazyness.

Gregory can explain it more in detail how it works and stuff.
Yeah it is a similar HW trick on all those games. It is used for color correction, depth effect, fog effect etc...

Not sure what that means but thank you.

Read the first link a little but got kinda intense for me, I'll admit.

That seems to be the location for the test that was giving me the colored static.

I tried OpenGL when I was still having problems with the test, it seemed to behave exactly the same as Direct3D11 in Hardware Mode (will admit I didn't bother with OpenGL Software Mode).

Having gotten past the test and actually trying to get a car and race, I've noticed a lot of lag when there are other cars around. Tried turning on a bunch of Speedhacks (based on stuff in the wiki) and it only helped partially, getting particularly rough when I have to shift back to Software Mode. Would installing the dev build help with this? I will admit I have concerns about that.
Try this build out.

I mean, my real issue is worrying about installing it since I've already got 1.4.0 installed.
