Smile [LIST] Games that don't need a strong CPU to emulate!
Games That Don't Need High CPU

I thought that we should come up with a list together for people that don't have very strong cpu so that if they do decide to go and buy a ps2 game to emulate that it would be emulatable/close to perfect playable. By the way, the list of games are arranged by cpu. The cpu are arranged from higher end to lower end. So as you progress down through the list so does the ranking of the cpu. The lower the game the less of a cpu it needs to be played. I think you get how this works.

Rules to Posting Your Game

1. Game Title
2. Video Proof (If possible)
3. THE CPU AND ALL ITS NAMES DETAILS WITH THE CLOCK SPEED!!!!!!!!!
4. THE VIDEO CARD
5. PCSX2 config for grafx, cpu, frameskip and speedhacks, as long as the game is playable.

Types Of Processors

Wondering why certain games don't run at full speed for you? Even if you have the same settings and clock speed! Well, that is because of the type of processor that other pcsx2 users have. I have added the detail of the type of processor for the many people with this problem. If you want to know how your CPU stand against other types of CPU's before attempting gameplay with some of this games then go to the link below. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHECKING YOUR CPU's SCORE COMPARED TO THE SCORES NEXT TO THE LISTED CPU's HERE BEFORE POSTING THAT A GAME ISN'T RUNNING FULL SPEED FOR YOU! CPU BENCHMARK
VGA BENCHMARK

IF YOUR CPU HAS A HIGHER SCORE THAN 1350 ON THAT SITE THEN I AM NOT GOING TO ADD YOUR GAMES YOU SUGGESTED TO THE LIST BECAUSE THAT DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF THIS THREAD!
Low-end limits(cannot post games if higher than this)
Desktop cpu: e4500 max, amd 5200+ max
grafx card, desktop: gts 250 max, 5670/sometimes 5770 max
mobile cpu: desktop euqivalent, somthing at almost same score as e4500 or 5200+ amd
mobile grafx: same goes for these.

RE: [LIST] Games that don't need a strong CPU to emulate!
Disgaea (NTSC and PAL) - Runs on fast single core chips, or any dual core CPU, any VGA card that's supported
Disgaea 2 (NTSC and PAL) - Runs on fast single core chips, or any dual core CPU, any VGA card that's supported
Games by Gust (Atelier series, Ar Tonelico series, Mana Khemia series) - Run on fast single core chips, or any dual core CPU, any VGA card that's supported

(Sorry I can't provide system specs as requested, as I don't have a low end system available.)

5 games to the list already! would be good to have a low-ender to test them, but since rama's a coder, he knows what he's saying Smile
skeptical about naruto games since i need speedhacks and frameskip to get 80% speed, so i'll leave that off until i get settings for it and the cpu, gpu of the poster.

RE: [LIST] Games that don't need a strong CPU to emulate!
I'm not sorting the list like you want them nor I can give you a proof but the only thing I can tell you is that I know what I'm talking about and those games are not so hard to emulate/get good speed.

Ar Tonelico 1,2
Atelier Iris 1,2,3
Bujingai The Forsaken City
Crash Twinsanity
Disgaea 1,2
Grandia 2
Kingdom Hearts 1,2
Mana Khemia
Naruto Ultimate Ninja 1,2,3,4
Odin Sphere(on some places even on PS2 the speed goes really low but most of the time the speed is not bad)
Persona 3 FES
Phantom Brave
Shining Force Neo
Shining Tears
Shinobi
Soul Nomad & the World Eaters
Tales of the Abyss

PS.Sorry but your video card is week(really week for pcsx2).

P4 2.8GHz,6600GT,1024 RAM

i know... Sad
i'll have to change it. and you can play ALL those on P4????
do they need speedhacks? frameskip? or just normal native res.?
by the way, list is big already... Smile
once i get a new grafx card i'll make sure to test all those.
list will be updated later due to homework Tongue

RE: [LIST] Games that don't need a strong CPU to emulate!
Why is Final Fantasy X not in the list? its probably the fastest game to run in PCSX2

Other games that run very fast:

Tekken 4
Maximo: Ghosts to glory
Dark Cloud 1

video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX260

CPU:
e8400@3.6 ghz

all games run at more than 100 fps without framelimiter.

His definition of low end cpu is something like dual core 2.0ghz cpu. Dark Cloud 1 can't really be run nicely and fast with that.

AMD Athlon II 245 @ 3.55ghz, 9600GT @730mhz 1115mhz, vista sp2 32bit

RE: [LIST] Games that don't need a strong CPU to emulate!
Persona 3 FES is already too demanding for this list, so is FFX btw.
This is about REALLY fast games, so most 3d games are out of the question,
even if they run "kinda fast" like Tales of the Abyss or FFX.
