Damn, true. I only checked the options. It seems to have a bios-driven widescreen mode and i never noticed it. I usually launch games through fast boot.

Thanks for your work, as allways, and sorry for the request :-/

ELF Search Tool is a quite useful tool indeed,
however without being skilled in PS2-programming I can only do >this much< with numberology.

Play arond with a widescreen-patch, and you'll notice that if you apply a patch for an Ax1xxxxx\Ax3xxxxx address
it has priority over an 8x1xxxxx\8x3xxxxx address, which in turn has priority over an 001xxxxx\003xxxxx address.
If you don't apply patches for Ax1xxxxx\Ax3xxxxx or 8x1xxxxx\8x3xxxxx addresses, then they don't seem to matter;
only the 001xxxxx\003xxxxx address is taken into account.

That would be nice - rama\refraction: are you reading this?

Only if you are a fan of 16:10 yourself Smile.

I guess most hackers are only into CheatEngine (and 2xxxxxxx addresses) so language support is quite an extra thing.

@devina40:
• "Games with in-game 16:9" is quite blurry; how about "Games with 16:9-option in GameMenu"?
• Maybe this text would be better for the information under "Games with built-in 16:9 requiring 16:9 set in BIOS":
For some (if not all) games, you need to apply 16:9 through the PS2 internal configuration-menu.
To do this in PCSX2, set CDVD to "No disc", do a Full Boot, go into "System Configuration > Screen Size",
choose 16:9 (not Full), then restart PCSX2 and run the game through a Full Boot (not Fast Boot).

To prevent creating widescreen patches for games that already have native widescreen via full boot and to activate native widescreen for this games via fast boot, maybe is better to integrate sceScfGetAspect function hack in PCSX2's Hack tab.

This hack removes the flames from the title screen which normally get half cut off when selecting widescreen.

Good idea! If the devs don't want to include this hack, we can create pnach files for those games with aspect function hack (i already did that for a lot of games).

Messing around with God of War (Pal SCES_531.33), I found that at Address 21122212 Value BE6254E5 if you change the value to BE9654E5 the title screen flames are stretched to widescreen, only problem is this address has different values written to it during game play. Can someone help find a static address for this value?
