that's a really a Crucial Factor since IPC usually increases from every arc updates.

I'd skip right over Broadwell and look for Skylake. Broadwell was more about lowering TDP so the IPC is actually lower from what I've seen.

This. And Ivy Bridge still has pretty respectable IPC btw. 2000ish at stock speeds on e.g. 3570, 3770 etc

Hey guys, I don't know what else to do to make pcsx2 run smoothly so I'm putting this post out there to see if someone can help me with this. I have a laptop with Windows 10 64 bits, an AMD A8-7410 APU with Radeon R5 graphics card at 2.20 GHz and 6gb of RAM. Aren't this specs enough to make the emulator run decently? I've tried different configurations, changing from directx9 to 11, software and hardware and all that jazz. I tried running Code Veronica X and Silent Hill 4 but the audio is all messed up and video runs slowly. Any suggestions? is it a case of not enough power? I'll appreciate any kind of help.  Thanks.

That's your problem right there. That APU is severely underpowered for PCSX2. We usually recommend a bare minimum STR of 1500, and we prefer something in the 1800+ range for the most part. That APU's STP is 897 which is way under the 1500 minimum.

Nothing.
Emulation is mostly CPU dependant
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

then FX6300 Should be no problem but in NFS Pro Street i only got 20-30fps arround menu til gaming

That game won't run perfectly on that chip. The best you can do is use the ee cyclerate and mtvu speedhacks to try and gain a bit more speed, but even with an overclock on that chip, I don't think it'll hit full speed.

since this cpu's STR is below 1500, the FPS Rate you're getting isn't that surprising
