Sorry for the double post, but somehow I managed to fix it.
I unchecked synchron MTGS. Don't know if this was by default or I did this, but however. All the scenes ('til the end of the first fight) @60fps.

However, I noticed something new, and I don't know if this was there before (http://imgur.com/281BN4R). The stripes in the red circles.

Anyone knows what this might be from?

your CPU might be downclocking, check your processor condition with a app like core temp and show the clock speed and temperature readings while using pcsx2 to play the game. Never mind.

it's something weird if, disabling that gave you a speed boost. I'm not certain of the reasons anyway, glad you got it sorted out.

The temperature readings are fine, nothing to worry about. Smile

MTGS should never be checked it only for bug testing, if there was another person unable to play a game i can play on my lesser system i would start to worry about current tech.

glad you got it sorted outSmile

Currently I can not open pcsx2 but I think mtgs is one of the recommended hacks.
Additionally there is this synchronize gs option in the gs tabpage of emulation settings. And behind that option there is a huge "warning: extremely slow!!!". And that option you should never tick.

this is only 1 mtgs option and that is listed in the GS Tab and it general not needed and has the warning about being slow, as such it not on by defualt

yeah you are right. I thought MTGS is one of the recommended speedhacks. But obviously it is multithreaded without an option to disable it.
Probably synchronized MTGS more or less disables multithreading due to synchronization overhead.

MTVU is a speedhack, MTGS was an option back in the day to put the GS on a separate thread, before PCSX2 was stable over multiple cores
