Menu and Text will not show up

Sorry for responding a day later. I was busy crime fighting yesterday

Note the output from the terminal log while running a game.

I suspect pcsx2 still does not like HD Intel graphics.

Output from terminal
OpenGL vendor string: Intel Open Source Technology Center
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel® Ivybridge Desktop
OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 9.1.4
OpenGL shading language version string: 1.30

I would agree with your comment on PCSX2's feelings on HD Intel graphics if this video didn't exist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMqM2QLCFi0

Try updating your mesa. If you have Ubuntu you can use this PPA.

https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa
OS: Linux Mint 17.2 64 bit (occasional Antergos/Arch user)
(I am no longer a Windows user)
CPU: Intel Pentium G3258
GPU: Nvidia GTX 650 Ti

Same problem here. When I try to use GSDx plugin I get the following error:

---
The program 'pcsx2' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'GLXBadFBConfig'.
(Details: serial 22 error_code 178 request_code 153 minor_code 34)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

glxinfo | grep -i opengl

OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel® Haswell Mobile
OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 9.1.4
OpenGL shading language version string: 1.30

The other plugin works fine but I can see no text or menu entries.

Maybe we should just wait for Ubuntu's next release.

Update your mesa. You need to be at OpenGL 3.1.

updated my mesa. Still doesn't work. I'm guessing it's because I'm at OpenGL 3.0 (which is strange because my mesa is 9.2

@Aoi the Blue Rouge,

Could you try latest GSdx (5732)?

is that available for Ubuntu?

You will probably need to use the latest PPA since you are using 64 bit Ubuntu. Compiling the SVN yourself on 64 bit Ubuntu can be a nightmare to do. Sometimes it's actually impossible due to dependency hell.

I didn't update yet the ppa so you need to compile gsdx yourself or wait a couple of weeks Wink
