New feature-Needs testing!: (GSdx HW mode) Experimental mipmap support

EE OC seems to help with occasional internal frame drops if your CPU can handle it.

I'll do a recording of R&C for a blog post if it's needed.

We really need a news post about this support once it's done, it deserves recognition of its own, not to be lost in a progress report!

Indeed, though it would have been even better if users wouldn't need to enable the hack manually. Does it have any negative impact if we set it to enabled by default?

It can now be toggled with Insert the same way as software mipmapping.

I know, but then you have to know it, and regardless, it's better if it just works ™, isn't it? So again, is there any negative impact if enabling it by default?

Whew the arena battles in R&C3 are demanding. I have pushed my CPU to 4.5Ghz(around 2600 STP) and I still had to employ 33% underclock to keep fullspeed XD

At least right now it breaks some games(like Deus Ex apparently). Obviously if that stuff gets resolved then I support enabling it. But remember it's a hack, not a real implementation(paraphrase of Gregory's words).

Sure, and we have a lot of hacks enabled either always or automatically per game or crc.

If it breaks some games and it can't be made not to, then maybe as a kind of gsdx CRC hack for games which we do know it helps?

That definitely seems reasonable.

Not really related but FYI planet Aquatos in R&C3 needs Skipdraw=1 in D3D11 mode(is fine in OGL mode) because of a depth effect that causes the stripe syndrome in DX11.

Anyway after playing 5 solid hours today without a crash I'd say it's fixed Smile
