PCSX2 - Widescreen Game Patches

How so?
Remember, if you make a PAL patch for a NTSC-U Request, it'll still remain on Requests.

That being said, feel free to give WIP .pnachs. I can still store them in the archive, and others can work on them.

You're still listing for example the Harry Potter games, I've also posted a (nearly) WIP patch for Way Of The Samurai 2, it may need a render fix but it's not that bad actualy as is. Also it's a good idea to list which people request those patches because I tend to remember only requests like yours.

I removed Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban, but kept Goblet of Fire since it still apparently works.

I'll try porting Way of the Samurai 2 to NTSC-U to remove the request.
Just a simple 3F800000 to 3F400000 in Cheat Engine, right?

I guess so, and if the offset I calculated is correct the address should be 202F5EA0 on NTSC-U. (don't have the NTSC-U disc or the ELF so it's a wild guess)

K, successfully ported it to NTSC-U (the address was actually 202F5F20). I'll remove the request.
And you're right, it could use a render fix, but it isn't that big of a deal without one.

It also seems on the last page, ggxxtonghao found a render fix but he didn't provide the original value so idk.

More WIP incoming:

The Mark Of Kri (NTSC-U)

Needs render fix (it's bad without it) and like half HUD elements get affected by this address leaving stuff incorrectly placed.

Rise Of The Kasai (NTSC-U)

Exactly the same issues as The Mark Of Kri

Tried to port it on PAL using the offset and it didn't work, I guess you'll need the ELF.

Awesome, worked like a charm (I used Elf Search Tool).
I'll let VIRGIN take care of the PAL version.

Now just Way of the Samurai 1, and I'll port Samurai Western now.

Done!

Good luck with Way Of The Samurai 1, such a stubborn game, it may need a proper full ELF hack.

Also, talking about stubborn games, The Urbz: Sims In The City and The Sims: Bustin' Out are some of the most stubborn games I ever encountered. From a glitch I caused I am 100% sure that simply extending the sides won't be enough and they'll need a render fix too since the walls and most objects are REALLY borderline tightly rendered.

Also could you add links to my Namco x Capcom and Stolen WIP posts? Incase somebody wants to help me because Stolen is a heavily broken game on PCSX2 and I had no luck so far fixing the map/minimap and on Namco x Capcom I'm gonna need to find/list dozens of addresses representing 2D elements which in NO WAY I'm going to do that alone for obvious reasons.

Done.

Samurai Western uses a similar engine to Way of the Samurai 2, so the render fix works on both.
