@whitoxx
radar icons position in Federation vs Zeon depends from the aspect ratio, so i can't fix it.
@Devina
concerning Dolphin AR widescreen codes.i did some before.which games you are interested?
as example
Skies of Arcadia Legends GEAE8P
04345894 3F533333 //with 3f400000 looks better
also simple replacement 3faaaaab to 3fe38e39 in Iso work for many games.
and looks like SOCOM II U.S. Navy SEALs NTSC-U already in archive

Thanks bro Laugh

Just tested the code for ACE3: The Final and it seems like the 4 new codes below render fix messed up the emulation at cockpit and while in-game. Menu, etc. are not affected. Ohmy

I've never done this before. Can you please post a simple, noob-proof tutorial? Smile

it's very easy

for Stretch Panic i recommend untick Prompt on replace option and choose all instead forward in Search direction. it will save you a little time.

Here's Frequency Smile! Just a port of what I came up with for Amplitude, so it shares many of the same upsides/downsides.

Pnaches:
  • Frequency (NTSC-U) [SCUS-97125] [78F63595]
    .pnach   78F63595.pnach (Size: 881 bytes / Downloads: 433)
  • Frequency (PAL-Unk) [SCES-50791] [386D1E86]
    .pnach   386D1E86.pnach (Size: 882 bytes / Downloads: 443)
  • Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine Demo Disc 055 (NTSC-U) [SCUS-97181] [96A608C5]
    .pnach   96A608C5.pnach (Size: 1,06 KB / Downloads: 442)
  • KIOSK Demo Disc 2.5 (NTSC-U) [SCUS-97200] (unconfirmed CRC/demo variant)
    KIOSK Demo Disc 2.6 (NTSC-U) [SCUS-97218] (unconfirmed CRC/demo variant)
    Network Adapter Start-Up Disc (NTSC-U) [SCUS-97097] [7656425F]
    Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine Demo Disc 060 (NTSC-U) [SCUS-97186] [7656425F]
    Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine Demo Disc 104 (NTSC-U) [SCUS-97532] [7656425F]
PlayStation Underground Jampack Summer 2002 (NTSC-U) [SCUS-97206] (unconfirmed CRC/demo variant)
    .pnach   7656425F.pnach (Size: 13,61 KB / Downloads: 386)

What's covered:
  • Widescreen field of views have been setup for all in-game viewports. Indirectly impacts a few other things...
    • HUDs are thinned out properly and center-aligned.
    • Full-screen images (e.g. loading, logo, demo, etc... screens) are thinned out properly.

What's missing:
  • Menu's black fade-in/fade-out effects need to be stretched.
  • Avatars need to be widened in order to look "normal".
  • HUDs should be repositioned to the far left/right of the viewport as needed. Especially for 2-4 player modes, since the center-aligned HUDs are impeding gameplay.
  • FMVs need to be resized. Commented-out experimental FMV hacks are included in the pnaches for variants of the game that use FMVs. Enabling them kind of resizes the FMVs' picture to a 4:3 aspect ratio, but it isn't exactly 4:3, isn't center-aligned and lacks black side bars.
  • Ports to other demo versions are still needed:
    • Frequency [Demo] (NTSC-U) [SCUS-97157]
    • PAL Frequency demo(s)
  • Need to confirm which game CRCs the following demo discs use, as well as which version of the demo they contain (the most common demo version lacks Frequency's intro FMV):
    • KIOSK Demo Disc 2.5 (NTSC-U) [SCUS-97200]
    • KIOSK Demo Disc 2.6 (NTSC-U) [SCUS-97218]
    • PlayStation Underground Jampack Summer 2002 (NTSC-U) [SCUS-97206]

Notes:
  • @Devina Like before, feel free to include this post's version of 7656425F.pnach in the widescreen archive's "cheats_ws" folder. It works with every game/demo that share that CRC.

@Aced14: Nice, I was actually trying to figure out how to make a patch for Frequency based on your post about Amplitude. If you don't mind me asking, can you explain how you figured out the patch again? I understand you overwrote some code with your own code and I sort of understand MIPS assembly. But how did you find which address to write to (How did you know to overwrite $f0)? Also how did you convert the MIPS code to a pnach?

Wow, thanks a lot! It looks a lot better with those codes. However, I'd like to disable all culling completely (for the free look feature in Dolphin). For Ocarina of Time, I tried using this code: 04141C30 FFFFFFFF. With that code, most of the skybox is visible now, but houses, grass and other things still disappear after.... 180 degrees, maybe? I'm not sure, because distance also seems to affect elements.

Edit: same for Majora's Mask.
Edit 2: the codes I tried made the red fot of the hookshot cover all screen in red. I'll better use your codes as is Tongue2.

Thanks again and congratulations. You should post the codes in the Dolphin forums.
