PCSX2 - Widescreen Game Patches
All these games in the request list remaining are so stubborn to be patched. I'd be so glad to see them fulfilled and go! XD

1565 patches in 2 years is still very impressive! Tongue
And yeah, games still on the request list are usually the most difficult to patch.

Just remember, everyone feel free to update or improve patches already in the archive.

FMV hacks, HUD hacks, render fixes, black bar removals, noise removals, etc.

You guys have done an excellent job so far. You realize widescreen patches is one of the most popular features of PCSX2? You have added serious awesomeness to this project, you should be very proud!

Not only that, since it's something that can be used on an actual real PS2 hardware it makes it a one of a kind first for the community. Laugh
Also PS3 and PSP use the same logic as PS2's fov, you can patch PS3/PSP games for eyefinity or 16:10 or any odd aspect ratios.

^ I've heard that before but I've always wondered how. Do you just convert the raw patches to codes for a cheat device to do that?

On which platform? It's really different the method used on each. BTW, I meant PS3 and PSP games, no emulation of PS2 or something.

When this thread was started, we had one single patch. So I'd say 1.5k patches is damn good, indeed.

Great job everyone Biggrin

I meant about using the patches on PS2 hardware.

Oh, you can actually either apply them on the ISO/ELF or convert (or not) the codes to the cheat-software's corresponding format and you boot the game.
You can even do it on the fly with ps2rd.
