Thanks, but I'll pass, rather have it stretched so it at least touches the ends of the screen.................Unless you manage to move the hud to the far left and right of the screen, it just resembles how a game is cutoff when it needs a render fix, where you can't move to the far left or right.
(I have this game on my ps2 hdd, the xbox version has broken and less accurate controls ............. it was this game and the GTA games on ps2 that helped win the console race of that day .................. right now playstation has no identity, everything is multi platform) (except for the vita, while it lasts)
Happy holidays. i would like to request a widescreen patch for ESPN NFL 2k5 - US. I searched in the archived RAR file from user Devina but was not able to locate the file in the NTSC-U folder. i saw references to it in thread pages 131 but nothing else. I just rediscovered the ps2, and in particular, i've been playing a lot of this game with a bunch of other ps2 sports games like nfl street, nba street, etc. thank you in advance and have a great day

I could try later, but I think it's easier said than done if my time spent on the PC version of NFSU1 is anything to go by. Just moving the leaderboard could take 15 coordinates or more because I doubt the developers grouped the HUD. But this the first time I ever did anything for PS2, so take my opinion with a pinch of salt.
Personally I prefer a 4:3 HUD over a stretched one. A circle should look like a circle, not an oval, but the cutscene borders do bother me since those don't extend to the edge of the screen.
