The patch currently used for the game causes the water to not render in the 16:9 frame, but only in 4:3.

Doesn't mgs 3 natively support widescreen?

would someone be willing to help me convert this patch to 32:9 aspect ratio? i've been successful at converting a few existing patches to 32:9 but not this one.

I have already fixed it and tested the following versions from start to finish:

Metal Gear Solid 3 - Snake Eater (PAL-S) SLES-82026 98D4BC93
Metal Gear Solid 3 - Subsistence (PAL-S) SLES-82048 8A5C25A7
Metal Gear Solid 3 - Subsistence (NTSC-U) SLUS-21359 053D2239

I have tested other PAL versions and it seems that they work with the same code but I have not completed them and I cannot confirm it.

He doesn't have it, Kojima must have forgotten. If it is, it is hidden, it does not appear in the game menu.

thanks for working on this!!! can you tell me how you calculated that? 

it works, but it must be like 64:9 aspect ratio. see screenshot attached.
