This is the Fedora section, not Ubuntu. For Ubuntu users there is the PPA (best option for 64 bit distro) or compiling on your own (best for 32 bit distro). Read this...

OS: Linux Mint 17.2 64 bit (occasional Antergos/Arch user)

Hi PCSX2 Coder guru.. I'm a newbie on linux environment and right now I'm trying to install the pcsx2 on my machine.
My linux version is RHEL 6 Santiago (and I think fedora 17-19 is okay with this). What I've been so far is:
1. I already installed the rpmfusion-free, and non-free. After that, i enter the command "sudo yum install pcsx2". But package can't be found:
[root@oc7707788648 Downloads]# sudo yum install pcsx2
Loaded plugins: downloadkvmonly-background, downloadonly, downloadonly-
: background, ibm-check-lotus-updates, ibm-repository, product-
: id, refresh-packagekit, security, subscription-manager,
: versionlock
This system is not registered to Red Hat Subscription Management. You can use subscription-manager to register.
Setting up Install Process
No package pcsx2 available.
Error: Nothing to do
2. So I download the 'pcsx2-1.1.0-1.fc19.i686.rpm.tar.gz ' and run this command 'tar -xvf pcsx2-1.1.0-1.fc19.i686.rpm.tar.gz'. And this one: 'yum localinstall --nogpgcheck pcsx2-1.1.0-1.fc19.i686.rpm'. But after that, it's looking on bunch of required dependecies. Is there a way where I can pull off all it's required depencies on the repository?
Thank you in advance..

Hi, rhel does not have a pcsx2 package in rpmfusion. Many of the dependencies are missing and the package structure is pretty different. I can't suggest a solution, as I Honestly don't know what rhel supports natively, and so I don't know if it is even a feasible build environment. Since it is commercially supported software, I wonder if the rhel development team could advise you? Sorry to not be more help.
