The game runs well only on dx10.

I'm using dx10. Suggestions?

Upgrade your pc, perhaps?

Vista X64

More than enough to run ps2 emulated games. What I don't get is when I enabled EE x3 it reads 60fps on the counter but feels like 20fps. Its ungodly slow. This happens in all games when this is enabled. So I'm wondering if I have something configured wrong.

I think I know why. The problem is that you enable x3 hack while you are setting the cpu to limit frames. If you are going to limit frames then use x2. If not then use x3.

dr_thrax can be rigth,

If you are using frame skip or Vu skip you should see some lag.

Anyway my conf for this game are, 3x cycle, and Frame Skipping (Limit 70 - Skip under 50 - and then 1 - 1)
An runs quite good 60 fps.

Hi,

I searched everywhere I could about how to play this game in PCSX2.
I've heard many people say that they could run SC3 with 50-60 fps.

Here are my specs :
Q6600 @ 2,40GHz
Vista 32bit
3gb of ram
GeForce 8800 GTS

The best I get, in certain arenas, is 30-35 fps with ZeroGS, PCSX2 beta 1190 (it's slower with 0.9.6) and all speed hacks enabled and huge graphical glitches. But it's more like 20-25.
The game is unplayable with GSDX (10 fps max).
EDIT : In fact, whatever I do, I never get more than 15 fps except in the clock tower arena. I've tried with and without speed hacks, and it's the same.

I've seen a video on YouTube of someone who got about 40 fps with no graphical glitches with a much lower-end comp.

Oh, and I can play Kingdom Hearts, DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Odin Sphere at full speed without any problems.

Why can't I run this game faster ?

Thanks for helping me.

using the latest build ( Pcsx2-r1321) and enablaing MicroVu , i could play the game with 35 to 40 fps!
this is unbeleievable for me! with out using any vuskip or frame skip! i could get that fps!

please note that , the i used ZeroGS-r634.dll as the plugin
-------------------
if we put speed aside , there is a problem that i have , i cant finish the game with all of characters i mean
some characters make the emulator crash! ( such as Taki, by finishing stage 8, and starting stage 9, the emu crashes! i dont know how to fix it ? ! )

and by the way does anyone have any saved progress for this game ( NTSC format)

does this game work for anyone with latest revisions?

all i can get is the two intro screens then just black.

to be more specific

revision 1374 for soul calibur 3, game can't progress past intro screens.

EDIT: stopsworking right before where the THX video should play.

Tested revision 890, the game works fine though.

The latest revision that works for me is 1190. I keep getting partial rendering no matter how configured PCSX2 is on rev 1329.

Regarding performance, I usually get between 25 and 40 FPS under Windows 7 RC 7100 with Gsdx DX10. ZeroGS is dog slow though.
