Since I'm currently on it: I thought I might share some pictures of the inside of a PANHAI controller:

The most easy indicator is the blue battery pack; the genuine one has a grey, more solid looking one if I recall correctly. Also, if you compare the pressure sensitive buttons you can clearly feel that the genuine one feels much "softer" with equal resistance in pressure as you push them. These cheapos are really built to a price. And they don't obey Bluetooth standards Speaking of Bluetooth, here's a picture of the chip used in mine:

It's a BEKEN BK3513, I couldn't find an exact data sheet but the one I linked is pretty close.
