That has a meager GPU. An HD 5450 isn't the worst thing to be stuck with, but it's certainly not gonna be a wise choice.

And then it has an AMD processor. Not the greatest, but enough to suite a decent amount of games. Unfortunately, it's potential could still be held back too often with that GPU.

Bottom line: It's capable, but you could do better. You should do better than that GPU.

What about - 4gb ram, Inter Core 2 duo E4600 2.4 ghz, Nvidia 9400GT 512 mb[128 bit] - can i play God of war 2 with pcsx2 0.9.8 with good fps or something?

No. That GPU is better... but still no... that CPU wouldn't be good enough for GoW2 either.

Hi,

I'm planning to build a gaming rig desktop that will work good on pcsx2. I just want to ask which system will work better on pcsx2:

AMD Phenom II X2 555 BE (Black Edition) 3.2 ghz
mbo, am3, Asus M4A88T-M LE
vga, Sapphire HD 5830 Xtreme 1gb/256bit ddr5
hdd, 500gb WDC Cabiar Blue (WD5000AAKX) 16mb sata 3 hdd
ram, Geil 2gb ddr3-1333 (GV32GB1333C9SC)

---

cpu, Intel Core i3 2100 3.1GHz (Dual Core)
mbo, lga1155, Asrock H61M/U3S3
vga, Sapphire HD 5830 Xtreme 1gb/256bit ddr5
hdd, 500gb WDC Cabiar Blue (WD5000AAKX) 16mb sata 3 hdd
psu, HEC 500watts, PSU, Rapter II, 80 efficiency
ram, Kingston 2gb ddr3-1333

I'm sorry for asking, I posted this because i didn't see my proc. same as the Graphics Card..

Thnx in advance.. Smile)

If you're judging only on PCSX2, at stock speeds the i3 will do better for PCSX2... That said, the black edition processors can reach 3.8ghz-4.2ghz or so, so if you get a decent cooler and plan on overclocking the phenom 2 should be able to surpass the i3 (at least as far as I understand, the new core processors that don't have the 'k' designation are quite limited in their ability to be overclocked, I may be wrong on that since I don't have one in which case the i3 would still be superior)

Ohh. Okay. I'm not planning to overclock any processor.
Hm. So, what's better when not OCing for pcsx2?

And also, will I get full speed or almost on some demanding games
with 1024x768 resolution and medium game settings ?

Like God of War 2, Tekken 5, FFX or kingdom hearts ?

PCSX2 uses scaling so resolution doesn't matter here.
And the i3 will probably perform better due to being a smaller microarchetecture.

Also for the games you should have 0 issues running FFX as it's one of the easiest to run PS2 games. I can't say anything about the others but because you're system should run better than mine you shouldn't have many problems unless you're dealing with the hard to run games.

Ohh. Okay sir.

The bottom line is "Which would be better for pcsx2? (Also for some PC games if possible)"
And the answer is the Intel rig?

That's pretty much it. Here's my rig and I can pretty much run almost everything without speedhacks. (that isn't broken in the emulator of course)
Intel core i7 875k OC @ 3.2GHZ
ATI Radeon 5870
Hitachi 500GB HDD and WD 2TBHDD
Corsair 750W PSU
Gigabyte GA-p55-USB3 Mobo
G Skill 4GB-1333 RAM
