XInput Wrapper for DS3 and Play.com USB Dual DS2 Controller
I tried these drivers but my PS3 Controller doesn't connect, no matter what I do, even after installing this. I'm using Win8 pro with Media Center. It only connects to my PS3.

Also, when I attempt to start SCPService.exe, it says:

Windows Service Start Failiure
Cannot start service from the command line or a debugger. A Windows Service
must first be installed (using installutil.exe) and then started with the
ServerExplorer, Windows Services Administrative tool or the NET START
command.

What can I do to get this to work?

@phly95: zip up your ScpDriver.log and post as an attachment.
It installs successfully, but the controller doesn't pair, it just flashed red on the 4 leds, even after pressing the PS button
This is what the log says:

@phly95: the USB driver has not been installed, you must have your DS3 plugged in to USB before running ScpDriver.

Pairing of a DS3 can only be carried out over USB, same as when you use it on a PS3. Do the following -

1. Plugin your DS3 to USB.
2. Run ScpDriver.exe, click Uninstall.
3. click Install.
4. Wait until Win8 has finished installing devices.
5. Unplug your DS3 from USB.
6. Plugin your DS3 to USB - DS3 will now get Paired to your Dongle.
7. Unplug your DS3 from USB - DS3 should now Connect to your Dongle.
8. Zip up your ScpDriver.log and ScpService.log and post as an attachment.

ScpService.exe is a Windows Service, it is not intended to be run from a command prompt or double-clicking in Explorer.
Thank you so much! Everything is working great now. Because I use a Bluetooth mouse, when I'm playing controller games, I install the drivers, and when I'm doing work or playing an FPS, therefore, I made a shortcut to the installer to uninstall and install quickly. Thanks for you awesome drivers!
Thanks for this amazing driver! I was despairing after motioninjoy's ***** driver kept randomly tilting the analog sticks but this is just a dream come true, no piece of ***** ds3tool to deal with ever again Laugh

Also, what bluetooth dongle would you guys recommend for use with this driver? Or are they all pretty much the same? Thanks
Thanks for the driver, It works flawlessly! Over USB that is.

Anyway, I didn't think that my Bluetooth Dongle would be supported, but I tried it anyway. And sure enough, when I unplug the PS3 controller It keeps one of it's lights on which indicates it's connected by Bluetooth. So, that's all fine and dandy, but it doesn't seem like it's connected properly. Because, none of the buttons output anything to my PC.

What's wrong?
And thanks for your work, again! :-)
Hey guys, just signed up to the forums because this driver fascinates me. Thank you much for your tireless efforts Scarlet! So far the controller is working on my PC, but the concern I have at this time are the trigger buttons. As they are mapped as an axis, I am unable to assign them a function on the game I intend to use this controller for. When trying to assign the triggers in Final Fantasy XI they do not register. Is there a modification or a work around I can implement to resolve the issue?

Thanks again

I even have the same HW id.

my HCI and LMP vrs. show up as 3.3164

Same problem with me. It works just fine with the usb cable pluged in, but i cant pair with the bluetooth. Using the MontionJoy drivers i can pair with the bluetooth device and use the ds3 wireless. The bluetooth device is VID_0A12&PID_0001.
I did what you recommended (plug and unplug the usb 3 times) and put my log as an attachment
Thanks in advance for your help

You can tell the SCP drivers to ignore bluetooth. Make sure "Bluetooth Drivers" is unchecked when you install the SCPDriver. Then it won't interfere with your bluetooth mouse.
