Well, if it's a dual rail, that isn't too pathetic.
Otherwise, that's a whopping 168W on the 12v...
You'll want better either way.

Also, age will depreciate a PSU's capabilites.
So if that's a bit old, it's seriously time for a new one.

Don't facepalm too hard over this, but you just flip it. Wink

I don't know if I'd buy that PSU. It has (more than) the stats you need, but...
  • What brand is it?
  • What kind of warranty?
  • How old is it? Even "brand new" may have sat around for who knows how long when coming from a personal seller.
  • And finally: A 1000W PSU for $60 raises all kinds of red flags on my end...
Have you considered Newegg.com? You could spend that $74 ($60+shipping) on a truely brand new PSU, backed by a reliable brand and warranty. It won't be a 1000W PSU, but that is a serious level of overkill. (or are you going for 2 or more of the highest-end graphics cards?)

Ok.
One ~$100 GPU is certainly not going to need that much.

Plus, a PSU like this one would certainly be reliable, and all you'll need.

No problem. Smile

Just to fair warn you: Some PS2 games can still prove a bugger to emulate.
Most anything will run very well by the time you reach or exceed 4.0Ghz, though. Even at stock, there are games known to be "demanding" that will run absolutely great.

(P.S. Speedhacks can still be necessary, even @ 5Ghz.)

Noctua NH-D14 is a twin tower or dual tower and it takes up a lot of space on the motherboard and the pc case. Personally, I think it ugly, thus I chose the Thermalright Venomous X Wink Its beauty is unmatched and its performance is on par with the NH-D14, and not to mention it cost a lot less. A single tower super air cooler that has 99% performance of a bulky twin tower at a much lesser cost and saves space is a winner if you ask me.
