i'm getting this too, have to use 1.2.1 stable, something wrong with the lastest builds, they just hang and only display the log window.

I just ran the latest build from the buildbot and had KH1 work just fine. I still don't know why why the latest is from october 4th

There hasn't been any updates since that release at all. Maybe the devs are just busy or something.

someone said it was gsdx to blame? i tried the last available build with gsdx deleted and it still hangs on loading the emulator. so it's something else?

i'm now using pcsx2-5932-windows-x86 as there's nothing below the latest build available for download on the official site, there are ones posted on emucr (that are listed on the git page) but they are all crashing as well, with and without gsdx.

I've downloaded the latest version, as well as 1.3.0-638 from the buildbot site, both work fine. The ones on EmuCR work fine too.

Can you show us a screenshot of what your folders look like? It seems to me that you just have some weird folder issue where the plugins aren't being read. (Possibly a bad config file in the inis?)

Try right clicking pcsx2 and run as administrator. It must be a user rights problem.

does it crash the instant you open it,

yes, anyone got a link to 638, emucr don't list build numbers which is annoying.

gets as far as creating;

PCSX2_vm.ini & PCSX2_ui.ini and then hangs.

try using compatibility settings to different os like win xp sp3 and running as administrator and try the recent stable build.

That'd be the version before the last version on EmuCR.

And again - Take a screenshot of your folders please. Also try what bositman said.
