I just tested 1.3.0-639 on Windows 8.1 Pro (X64), and experience no hanging there or crashing.

You appear to have the same problem as these two threads AppHangB1-errors-when-launching-latest-GIT-builds, Latest-Dev-Builds-not-loading-on-WinXP-Pro

As far as I'm aware, the cause is unknown, however this post might be useful for someone trying to debug this.

From my count this issue has happened to 4 other people.

Specs on laptop:

Windows 8.1 Pro x64
Intel Core i3-M350 @ 2.30GHz
4GB RAM

Tested versions:
PCSX2 GIT1.3.0-639
PCSX2 SVN r5932

Both versions worked. (albeit slow, but that's to be expected with that CPU).

I'm gonna send a PM to rama about this. Just to make sure they know.

well never had a problem with r5875, i guess some hardware's see this problem.

Same here. It seems to be affecting a few users only. We just need to figure out what each of those people have in common.
