For someone already tried phenom1/2, he get more fps in same clock speed, even more you can overclock phenom2 in higher clock at least at.3.6ghz or more. I suggest you to take phenom2 720BE if your mobo still support that processor.
I don't want to oc my cpu

Well, unlucky you, then.

Phenom are the only AMD processors that do normal with PCSX2 it seems.
so you want to tell that at:
AMD x2 6400+
2GB DDR
GF 8600GT
WinXP SP2
games at pcsx2 will run under playable speed (60fps)? I mean most of all RPG games not action/fighting like TEKKEN.

Do you think that nowaday rpg's are less 3d than tekken?
well I saw at emulation forums that tekken 5 needs at least 3,6GHZ or 4Ghz cpu. Anyway that would be ridiculous to not be able to play at my pc after cpu upgrade(I saw that 6400+ is the newest of AMD x2 cpu and fastest) at playable speed in most playable games and actually I can say that at my 4400+ games like digital devil saga or persona are working nice but some slowdowns occur especially during fights with many enemies. I just want to know will that upgrade bring me about 15-30 fps to my current fps on 4400+.
You best bet is to find someone with similar rig and askSmile
yeah you are right, however theoritically will that upgrade bring me about 20 more fps or about 5 - 10. If so small then it's not worthwhile to upgrade.
It's highly game dependable at this point, I think
I see but anyway I will see some more difference than 5 more fps?Laugh
