i have no idea what's wrong with your system.
what's your system specs?

specs in the sig, OS is Windows 7 X64
AMD Phenom II x4 @3.7ghz(mobo limits it)
OCZ 4GB DDR2 800mhz @860mhz
GeForce 9800GT 512mb RAM SLI @600/1500/900 Dual SLI
Windows7 x64

Thought those were the ones that mattered but okay...

Windows 7 build 7100 RC 64 bit
AMD Athlon x2 5000+ @ 3.0ghz
4GB DDR2
9800GT

driver version is 191.07
epsxe version is 1.7
GSDX version is r1873
Latest directX (august 09)

I can't think of what else you might need

The only other thing I can think of that could cause the problem is if you have epsxe in your program files folder. If it is, you have to run epsxe in administrator mode.

Nope, it's on local disk D: not in program files. i'll try admin anyway though, will report back

he/she means does it work on Windows XP, read the first post as it explains how it works and how it doesn't and what you can do that might fix it.
