"The DualShock 4 Has Become a Pretty Great PC Controller"

Thats pretty cool, though i'm not familiar with their blog before now, I do keep seeing spikes in downloads that I can't really attribute to anything other than blogs mentioning us.

got an odd issue though I don't even know if it's an issue or if it's just how it works, but after have DS4 run and connect fine with the controller it seems to cause my system to hang for a few second(up to 10) then then continue as nothing happened. Is this normal in windows 7 64bit with a usb connection or did i do something wrong?

I was playing around a bit with my DS4 but had no problems so far. Instead I love it more and more Biggrin

But some features came in my mind, maybe you like one or two.

When shutting down the DS4Tool the light bar changes to white and the controller will remain turned on and connected via bluetooth. Would it be possible to turn off the DS4 completely when exiting your DS4Tool?

I also recognized that right clicks as well as scrolling is not working for me. Tapping and left click in the bottom left corner are working.

At last I would like a additional option in the light bar color configuration which will change the brightness of the lightbar. For now I reduced the brightness by changing the color from (R, G, B) 255, 000, 000 to 2, 000, 000.

There is a small startup overhead of the application itself, should not be anything like what you describe though. Sounds like a couple application may be battling over hardware access, this happens with UPlay, Steam, Origin, Teamspeak, etc... because all these programs also try to pool and connect to controllers. Your best bet is to either disable exclusive mode if you have no games that require it, or if that is not an option set up DS4W to start first and have the other programs start on a delay.

Shutting down the controller on exit is possible, will add that to my todo list

advanced mouse operation are not done yet, ive been working like mad to get macros finished and as a result a lot of stuff like that has kind of gotten sidelined, but I will absolutely get to it.

As for the color, in the program when you click the color on the chart, there is a vertical color gradient directly to the right of the chart, that is your brightness.

You can alway press the "PS" & "Options" button at the same time, this will turn the controller off & disconnect BT. Than close DS4Windows.

jhebbel, thank you so much for the much improved DS4 Tool. I had been using the original version until yesterday, and was so glad to see a new and improved version. The only issue I have with your latest (1.5.9) version that I didn't have in the original (not your fork) is the two finger scrolling. The scrolling doesn't seem to work at all. I tried the default profile and tried making a new one with no luck.

An issue I was hoping your version would fix but didn't, is the trackpad not responding while certain windows are active. This same behavior occurs when right clicking certain systray icons. Is this something that can be fixed?

I'm running Windows 8.1 x64, and completely removed & uninstalled the older DS4 Tool / SCP drivers and let your DS4 tool take care of it.

Also, any ETA on Macros for 1.5+ ?

Thanks again for your work! I'm looking forward to your next release.

Complete mouse support has not been coded yet, for not its just point and click, but scrolling and such is on the way.

This is because those windows are likely either UAC protected or run as admin, if you manually run the tool as admin it will then have the needed access to allow mouse in those apps.
