PCSX2 - Widescreen Game Patches
(01-22-2017, 07:50 PM)Pixelise Wrote: I also have literally the same problem with Sly Cooper (I tried EU and US region). Do you have anything for that?
By the same problem I mean tried patching with PS2 Patch Engine on EU version and then US version and both triggered the same screen "Patch list contains unsupported cheat types"

No, i not checked never the game Sly Raccoon, but the adresses which do not supports the program are the ones starting with "e".
Delete o comment the adresses lines starting with an "e", the e0090058 and e0010001 ones in the PAL patch.

Best regards.

Is there any chance this thread could be moved to the General Discussion and Support (Windows) board?

Reasoning:
  • The Chatterbox board is no longer public (see Chat and hardware/software forums are missing when not logged in).
  • Overtime, this thread has evolved into something much more relevant to the PCSX2 project than when it was first created. The sheer number of widescreen hacks posted by this thread's contributors in and out of this forum eventually lead to a dedicated widescreen option in PCSX2, as well as Devina's widescreen archive (which is bundled into modern versions of PCSX2).
  • IMO a major part of this thread's success has been the fact that it's always been public. If the Chatterbox board had been members-only when this thread was first posted, that probably would've dramatically limited its exposure and significantly limited its number of past and present contributors. Take me for instance. I primarily became a forum member to contribute to this thread. Had I not discovered it when it was public, that probably never would've happened.
  • Many posts throughout this thread provide various forms of support related to PCSX2 widescreen hacking.
  • Similar threads to this one already exist in the board I'm proposing to move it into:
  • Thousands of external sites link to this thread.

I agree this is a problem, I will bring it up. It won't be moved and stuck there as I JUST removed a bunch of stickies there that were pushing the real nonstuck posts more than halfway off the page. However it may can be moved to Tools, Applications, and Homebrew which is closer in relevance and only has one sticky currently.

Effective immediately because of Chatterbox/Hardware discussion being restricted to registered members, this thread is moved to Tools/Applications/Homebrew so everyone can still access it. The same link will continue to work.

Having been a regular part of this thread since like page 100 out of now...

Um, what? Huh
No one actually thinks that, and I've never seen anyone here treating anyone else like a "slave". This is all volunteer work. The majority of people have been polite and say please and thank you, and there's *nothing* wrong with making requests.

Anyway, thanks Blyss for the move!

Don't take my posts out of context.

Before that, I said:

http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-PCSX2-Wid...#pid502890

"Nemesis, can you PLEASE..." with a heavy emphasis on "please".

You said "Cant because I have Wii version of the game" which I interpreted "I can try to take a look, but I don't have access to the PC version of the game".

Then I simply told you a method that can let you access the PC version of the game. I began my post with "you can", not "buy the game, do this, do that".

That's not "treating you like a slave", it's simply asking you politely if you can do a request for me.

And I ask you to check stuff because you're one of the most experienced available widescreen hackers there are, and there's nothing I can really do about that.

If there's others who've treated you like a "slave" (something which I've never noticed in this thread), then I apologize on their behalf, but I don't feel like I've ever treated you like one.
