That's so weird... okay, so you know for a fact that you're running the NTSC-U version and using the NTSC-U widescreen patch.
Can you take a screenshot of PCSX2 with the console log open (showing that it found the patch), as well as the game running right beside it?

I'm confused... it looks like the widescreen patch is working fine?
If you're referring to the map and the icons at the top being stretched, that's completely normal.
Or does the game just have extremely thin characters?

The Savestate feature can cause things like this.
Make a new comparison without loading Savestate.

It is called barrel rendering, it is normal, there's no issue here. I'm sure atleast like half of PS2 (and not just PS2) get rendered that way.

Well, that's good.
And yeah, that's the cool thing about widescreen hacks, it feels more immersive and has the potential to show more art.
Anyway, back on topic.
Port requests are always open.
If someone could attempt Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone soon, that's be great.
