PCSX2 - Widescreen Game Patches

I have already made a request for that and provided everything needed. It's being worked on I guess.
Editing the BIOS itself is not really working, I tried doing it but some of those values are not present in the same fashion they are present on the ELF hacks of most games. You'd need to inject some ASM code which is not only beyond my capability but also it would serve no purpose even it was done. FMCB does no BIOS interruption patching like what PS2 modchips do, everything it does, it's happening on the fly, like how our codes here work. I just wish there was a way to make these codes universal with somekind of mask. There's got to be a way that a mask can be calculated, all BIOS versions should provide somekind of info that can be obtained to offset the addresses into their respective positions according to each BIOS. All seem to be varying to something between -+0x4400 to -+0xFF20. Too bad it's not a constant offset. Sad

You seem really good at black bar removal fixes, can you please try:
  • Silent Hill 2 and 3 and Origins
  • Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3
Thanks.

I also tried porting Grandia 3's black bar removal to NTSC-U and had no luck.

Thanks to you and your Guide to Port a WS Fix, i was able to edit the PAL-E WS Fix to the German Version of Final Fantasy 12.
Maybe you will add it to your compilation, so i attached it.

Personally i only tested it just for the start of the game, but it seems to work, since the viewport changed for me the same as in the English Version.

Hi, i just wanted to report that the Ace Combat Episode I widescreen patch breaks the game graphics in certain places (like when launching your mech, or when your pressing "Launch" and heading towards a new menu).

I don't know which one is that. But all values for all Ace Combat is 100% correct, because I modified only values that used for original 16:9 mode.
