Dreamcast already have a bunch of patches thanks to Esppiral.

In Gamecube you have a generic solution that work pretty fine for most of games, the widescreen hack of SwissGC, also implemented on Crediar's Nintendont for Wii.

the swiss gc widescreen hack is as generic as it gets for GC. much more needs game specific patches

I have tried lots of games in Nintendont and it works pretty fine. Much much (much) better than the generic Dolphin one. But, yeah, some games doesnt work, some others have noticeable graphical problems (like all the Mario Party games), etc. Its generic after all.

The game sets to widescreen automatically when the BIOS 16:9 setting and PCSX2 FULL BOOT.

^ Unfortunately, no one's been able to do that yet.

If you really care that much, get the FFX/X-2 remaster on PC (it's on Steam).
I don't know why people keep playing the PS2 version.

Yes I know but I use open ps2 loader and with it this ps2 BIOS function does not work
