PCSX2 - Widescreen Game Patches
I understand, and this is the only software that can patch ISO so it works on real hardware ?

Is there any possibility that someone could change the FOV for the 16:9 widescreen option for the Ford Racing games on PS2? I would really appreciate it!

NTSC Widescreen Hack by Nemesis2000 (converted to Pal by Some Chump)
Select widescreen in game otherwise image is zoomed out 4:3

Where can I find the NTSC widescreen hack? It's not turning up for me when I search.

We're coming to the December period and it makes me want to bring out my winter sports games, in particular: SSX and SSX 3 (Snowboard Supercross).

*Request number 1 (SSX 3): The game already has Anamorphic mode but not for cutscenes. Would it be easy to adapt in-game cutscenes to this display mode?

SSX 3 SLUS_207.72   patch fixes cutscenes and force widescreen mode on

I've been messing around with things in an attempt to modify the existing widescreen patch for .hack//Infection to support 21:9, to no avail. Unfortunately it seems beyond the scope of my ability.

If possible, I'd like to request 21:9 patches for .hack//Infection & the other 3 parts (Mutation, Outbreak, Quarantine) since they already have widescreen patches as well. I know it's both a niche game & use-case, but I'd really appreciate it.

I don't have those games and a 21:9 monitor to check, but I think you should replace 3f400000 with 3f100000.
To convert any 16:9 patch to 21:9, you first need to convert the hex value from the patch to Float (with this converter for example) and then, depending on the game, multiply the resulting value by 1.3333333 or by 0.75.
3f400000 = 0.75 float
0.75x0.75=0.5625
0.5625 = 3f100000 hex
if the value in the patch looks like 3c013f40 , then it should also be interpreted as 3f400000 and replaced with 3c013f10.

Wow that was fast! Seems to have done the trick perfectly too! Just played thru the first half-hour of the first one & it looks glorious at 3840x1600. Thank you for the solution & the insight, it's much appreciated! I'll probably fiddle around with a few other games at some point & I'll be sure to post the results here if I get them working correctly. Cheers!  Smile
