Graphics may not be the issue; cpu perf ensure you set the VM to 3 processors on virtual machine side (if you have 4 actual processors), then go to config, emulation settings, click Speedhacks and turn on MTVU on microVU hacks - that fixed perf issues for me

Under Audio, I kept xaudio2 - had some games I had to choose synchronizing mode to Async Mix to fix audio issues

In cc77571898cde37829816707793d2c3c649d6bd8 wine added api-ms-win-crt-stdio-l1-1-0.dll._wsopen_dispatch, so we probably don't need to install vc2015 runtime anymore in the next update, hopefully.

That's good, because vc2015 installation is dodgy. Works for some, not others. 

But the last version of wine to work was 1.9.11.  Something broke in 1.9.12 and hasn't been fixed since. 

I remember you saying you compile wine by yourself. Is pcsx2 still working for you?

Yes, it still works for me.
Newer PCSX2 versions require vcrun2015 to be installed.
I haven't tested the commit to see it it lets PCSX2 past any further (since compiling wine takes about an hour)

I followed the guide as religiously as I could, but when I try to install PCSX2 it told me to choose a setup executable, and I cannot figure out which file(s) it wants me to select. Any help?

3: Redirect the wrapper to run the new version of PCSX2:


Under the Configuration tab, reassign which .exe file is run by clicking the Browse button at the top. Choose the new PCSX2.exe

Hi. I m not using the CE version because when I used it and VCRUN2015 didn't showing up in WineSkin with 1.9.11 and yes, U update wineskin and it wasn't there still. So, what I have to do is this:

Edit:- Configure the SPU2-X plugin. You need to change XAudio2 to Portaudio. (Wine will support XAudio in the future, but as of posting Portaudio is still required).

I followed each step in the instructions, but I can't download and install either DirectX and vcrun2015.

Okay, so latest wine 1.9.23 can launch latest git PCSX2 correctly.

d3dcompiler_43 isn't being used, even through it is installed, so I get shader error... e_e

I deleted wineskin PSCX2 again. I download the latest PSCX2 GIT version.

Now, I did it form scratch with the latest version is 1.9.21 and I got message: Wine mono installer.. I cancel it and Wine Gecko installer and I click cancel. Wineskin winery is currently busy, please wait... Wrapper creation finished. I click View wrapper finder. I double click PCSX2 wineskin icon. Click Install Software. Click move a folder inside. I did it so. Now, click advanced. Click Tool and click Winetricks.

Click update Winetricks and click dlls. I click d3dx9_36 and everything is fine. Then I click vcrun2015 and I got this error:

Note: command wine vc_redist.x86.exe returned status 5. Aborting.

So I try msxml3 and it's done. Now, I try again to installed vcrun2015 and it did successfully.

I run PCSX2 with Klonoa 2 EUROPE. The screen appear and disappear instantly. What's wrong ?
