Hi everyone. I'm trying to install PCSX2 in Debian (64 bit). I keep running into...problems, so I'll just list the first one that I ran into... I am not familiar with Linux at all.
I am referring to this guide: http://wiki.pcsx2.net/index.php?title=Se...ux_version
Ok, what I did first was run this in the terminal:
Output:
Looks like all went well there...
Next i enter in:
Output:
I'm not entirely sure what's going on here. I did this on my root account and had the same results.
Please help!

You are about to add the following PPA to your system:
The Official pcsx2 ppa, provided by the pcsx2 team. This ppa contains a
regular package snapshot of pcsx2. We are not package experts, but we
try to follow the debian policy.
* We suggest you use https://github.com/PCSX2/pcsx2/issues to
report issues with pcsx2.
* The package is 32bit only, but can be installed on systems that fully
support multiarch. You need at least Ubuntu Precise.
* 2 versions are provided. pcsx2 (latest stable release 1.2.2) and pcsx2-unstable (regular snapshot of our git repository). Unfortunately I don't have enough free time to provide both for all Ubuntu versions.
* PPA doesn't allow to upload package on unsupported Ubuntu. In short it only remains LTS and latest version.

Don't use PPA on Debian, you can use the one from Debian itself (testing or sid) https://packages.qa.debian.org/p/pcsx2.html

Ok. Let's see. I downloaded the pcsx2_1.4.0+dfsg.orig.tar.xz package. Is this it? How do I install this? I extracted it and I'm not sure what to do from here...
Where do I go from here?
Code:
cd ~/Downloads/pcsx2-1.4.0
Where do I go from here?

Nah, just sudo apt install pcsx2 (byt you must be in testing or SID)

I keep getting
It seems so straight-forward, but it isn't working. I don't know what I'm doing wrong! ~_~
EDIT: Sometimes I run into "installers" that are simply a PGP signature. What about those?
Example: https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-game...0%2bdfsg-1
EDIT 2: I added to the list of sources. Is that right?
Code:
E: Unable to locate package pcsx2

First, you can tell us what is your distribution version. Because Debian is really vague.

I'm fairly certain I'm using 8.3.0 the latest which is Jessie.

Unfortunately, as I said above, you need to have the current testing (aka stretch) or unstable (aka sid) version.
However you could use the pre-compiled version available here

Ok I always seem to run into problems with these packages. So what do I do with this? I'm in the directory and my first guess is to do something like.
Well then I get about 100 errors for missing dependencies (assuming I'm doing it right)
Code:
$ sudo sh PCSX2-linux.sh
