Hyper threading is so to say multi cpu'ing, so in fact a dual core cpu with hyper thread is similar to quad core cpu without hyper thread... simple said...
& all of you know that PS2 is only dual core oriented, so there is no use of Hyper thread, and of quad core cpu's... stop bumping in a wall...

Help me! I can't get it running on my laptop. Everything's OK until it tries to load a race. Static (like TV when there's no broadcast) during the load screen. When I select start race, only garbage appears, not the track or the car. Please help!
My laptop is a ASUS G51Jx, which should be fully sufficient to run the game. It has an i7-720QM processor and a GTS 360M GPU. I've tried the configurations on the first page but it doesn't work. I have the NTSC U/C version (SCUS 97328)

Ok so I got the GT4 [NTSC] .iso file and my problem is that when I click ok to start a race, either one of the two will happen to me: 1)a black screen with nothing but occassionally flashes of the sky (i can hear the engines of the car revving tho) or 2)all the cars (the AI and mine) are shown but in a very dark screen and the cars are all "floating" on the sky. I say "floating" because I can see the road down below me as if the cars were flying. Please help. I've tried everything on this thread+google.
The plugins I used varied as I tried out every possible one and I even messed around with it a few times. But my current plugins are as is:

@ nfshp253, before race, go to options menu & change Brightnes to 0, I think that is causing you're problem...
@ joshT, I realy don't know what that could be, but try to set in pcsx2 options Config -> Advanced set EE Recs Optios & VU Rec Options to Chop/Zero & Extra + Preserve Sign, & also In Frame Limiting, set to Limit & under detailed settings set all to 0, in Speed hacks use x2 Cycle Rate, Enable IOP x2 & Idle Loop FF, & under VU Cycle Stealing, experiment, but more you steal, more your controls will lag in menu, not in race...

the resolution of the game has nothing to do with the internal res
internal res only makes the quality of the picture better in whatever res is the game. also you can use that resolution (1920x1080) with whatever resolution has the game.
