Well, all nice and good to know that, but, maybe some screenshots/copy pasta of the error? and if you got teamviewer/skype, I an try to help you when I got time ^_^
Sorry I was MIA....work has me away for long stretches.
As I said, I'm totally new to OSX, I'm sorry I didn't post enough data.

I did manage to uninstall everything and start over with the help of some friends, but here is the first of the errors I'm getting when I try to load up PCSX2:

(<unknown>:298): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
Using the fallback 'C' locale.

Fontconfig warning: ignoring UTF-8: not a valid region tag

The program still starts up, however, but when I go to the Configure menu I get this error:

Could not open 'bios/' directory

However, I can still set the Bios directory and then proceed to try to load the iso file.
But then I get this error:

Can't create log file logs/GSzzogl.log

After clicking OK, I get the following message:

GS plugin failed to initialize. Error Code: -1

And after clicking OK again, these:

Failed loading MemoryCard from file: memcards/Mcd001.ps2
Can't create log file logs/GSzzogl.log
GS plugin failed to initialize. Error Code: -1

Does this help clear up where things are going wrong, or is there somewhere I can find you more detailed information?
XD, didnt see that >.<
So I can successfully get everything started up. I'll click run iso image, select an unzipped game iso file, and then I am given a blank black screen that gives me changing frames per second that says ZZ Open GL 0.1.0

I'm not sure what to do about this. Any help?

In terminal, this is all that I'm given:

(Shift +) F2 - cycle states

No worries, but any help you can provide to a complete neophyte would be much appreciated!

To me, it looks like your installation of Xquartz is corrupt or something, because, well, you ain't supposed to be getting those error messages with a clean install... Are you an admin on your Mac?

Uhh, yes, what game? And why would your ISO be zipped in the first place -_o

Sorry about that, I dont know HOW that post ended up here, I thought I posted it in reply to Jesalvein... I think all my replies are getting delayed, since I also dont get mails when people reply here if I was recently logged in...

Perhaps I worded that wrong. Anyways, the game is Kingdom Hearts. The USA release.

....maybe not?
How do I confirm that one way or the other?

And regarding the email notifications, I am not getting them either....let me know if you'd prefer me to PM you, since my ignorance seems to go way beyond the scope of the thread....
