That's fine, my controller is plugged in. So I close the game, unplug my controller and open Skyrim again...still in controller mode. The only way to get out of controller mode is if I restart my computer. Please fix this, it's incredibly annoying. This happens with any game that has controller support, it will default to controller mode over m/kb. This was never an issue in your older version where it would be necessary to have the xinput dll in the folder for the controller to work. If you wanted to stop using controller mode/not use it at all, you could just remove the .dll. Simple. Also, since Windows 8.1 update is nearing, it would be fantastic if you could get this working properly with 8.1. Thanks.

OS: Windows 8 x64

Um... skyrim DOES NOT disable kb/mouse just because an xbox pad is available, nor does it just toggle the setting by itself because one is available or removed.

Don't cry to us when it infects your computer or starts bsodding.

Motion joy config is loaded in an ieframe run at elevated priviledges.
Hello Scarlet and everyone,

First of it all, thank you for your wonderful work! Since my DS3 is working flawlessly in USB I wanted to play my favourites games over bluetooth. And this where troubles begins like many others Sad

To make sure everything goes well I did a clean uninstall. Removed files, drivers (even scpvbus.sys), service and devices with usbdeview before the BTH attempt.

Here is the specs of my BTH dongle.
Code:
Generic Bluetooth Radio
Cambridge Silicon Radio Ltd.
USB\VID_0A12&PID_0001&REV_0134
USB\VID_0A12&PID_0001
USB 2.0
Bluetooth v2.0 + EDR
HCI Version 3.3164
LMP Version 3.3164

As you can see the VID and PID are supported but is the REV part matters for compliance?

The installation process goes well, buses, drivers and service installs successfully.

A "BTH DS3 Device" pop-ups along a "Xbox 360 Controller for Windows" (last version drivers) in the control panel.
The service detects everything and the pairing seems to be ok (led 1 lit on the DS3) but there no communication Sad

Host Address, Pad 1,2,3 and 4 are disconnected in the "ScpServer" but I have valid MAC addresses for the host address and pad 1 in the ScpMonitor Huh

Here's the ScpService log where I plugged/unplugged the BT dongle and switched on/off the DS3 (MAC's censored)

Do you have any idea on what could be the problem?

Thanks in advance for any help!

PS : Here's attached a zip containing the logs. By the way sorry for my English...

edit
I've just ran SCPUser and none of the buttons/sticks works but the left and right rumbles do! I'm confused...

I think I have my answer

How can you tell by the logs that this dongle doesn't fully support EDR? A edit of the first post with a FAQ could be great!

Don't cry to us when it infects your computer or starts bsodding.

Motion joy config is loaded in an ieframe run at elevated priviledges.
Well... I have to admit that even I like MotionInJoy better... at least the way it's done... the open source part of this is quite better though Wink
And as MrJyrks said.. he's using Better DS3 which helps you get rid of that ugly DS3 Tool.. (except driver install... might work without internet connection though) so it's almost save against any kind of infection.

I can't say that much about BSOD.. as my PC does that from time to time anyway.. including freezing (most of the time a freeze... I like to have a BSOD so I can at least try to fix it) and using the SCP-DS3-Driver didn't change a thing except some never seen before BSOD but that might be unrelated.... and probably is.
The thing I hate about the SCP-DS3-Driver is that it has a way higher CPU Usage and worse response time compared to MotionInJoy which didn't use CPU at all (reason for what being the fact it's not using a service and that the important part doesn't use .net).
So on my PC the service uses up to 10% CPU from time to time while I did nothing... my DS3 doesn't even require to be "enabled". Currently the CPU usage stays a 0%... at least for now.

He might provide support only to that kind of device Wink But they can still work Tongue At least the one I'm using works flawless (same with MotionInJoy) It's a hama Scorpad Pro (not wireless) and everything works. (can't tell about the blue-tooth part as my Scorpad Pro isn't wireless)
Just registered to say thanks for making a good, simple alternative to Motioninjoy, Scarlet.Crush. The fact that I can basically just plug my controller in, install the drivers, and it's recognized by the system as an Xbox 360 controller is really appreciated, since that's pretty much all I use my DS3 for anyway. Plus, I don't have to let ads load into yet another app on my PC. Thanks, SC.
Is there a way to swap L1 with L2 and R1 with R2 from within the program? It sounds like it could be simple copy and paste of some values. Maybe even just as simple for the PC game too, except I tried that in Resident Evil Revelations and it did not work Tongue. I don't really keep up with this program, so excuse my ignorance.
Thanks, very nice program.

One question though:

Is there a way to be able to press the yes/no buttons of the UAC prompt in Windows 7 ?
I realize this is propably a security measure imposed by Microsoft, but is there a way ?
I hope this isn't abandonware at this point. I can't seem to get it functioning properly with Windows 8. I can install the drivers and get the DS3 to work perfectly through BT, but as soon as the computer goes to sleep, hibernates, or is shut down, the controller no longer syncs with the computer. The service is running, and the monitor still shows the port as being reserved, but the controller's LEDs just blink endlessly and there is no communication.

Restarting the computer does not does not cause this issue. It is just sleep, hibernate, and shutdown that cause the problem. Even plugging the controller back in doesn't resync it; I have to completely uninstall the driver and reinstall it to get it to work again. This makes it pretty useless since it means always having a USB cable around to reconnect it, and having to go through the uninstall and reinstall process every time I shut the computer's lid.

I've messed around for a couple of weeks with every setting I could find... nothing fixes it. The log files don't seem to shed any light either. I even tried to buy a few external dongles, including the ASUS one others have mentioned, but I can't get them to work either.

Does anyone have any ideas?
Hey I am getting 'BTH 00000000 None' whenever I disconnect from USB and use my dongle.

I looked through the thread and saw I needed to attach the log, so here it is.
So, originally, I was using motioninjoy (I have now seen the error of my ways) and for some reason the controller my brother has got this weird thing where the controller would function properly if using ds1, ds2 or ds3 which was all well and good, but he wanted it for fallout so we needed xbox 360 controller emulation and when we tried this the right analog stick would get 'stuck' to the left even when in reality it was in the normal position or pushed to the right and the x value for the right stick was stuck at -32767, causing you to turn in circles constantly when trying to use the controller. So the problem was quite obvious, then i heard about Scarlet Crush and figured it might have just been because of the fact that motioninjoy is really glitchy, but the problem is persisting, both on my brother's computer, which is running 64 bit windows 8 and mine is running 32 bit windows 7. So i tried going back to motioninjoy and binding keys and mouse buttons and movements to the controller, but all it did was force the mouse to the left. So now I am back to Scarlet Crush (and I apologise for the long story) and wondering does anybody know how to fix this, maybe by adding 32767 to the input or something so that it can function as an xbox controller normally? Thanks. (my ps3 controller works normally besides the fact that when emulating an xbox controller it will act like the right analog stick is stuck to the left) so any help would be much appreciated
My laptop's built-in bluetooth works fine in all cases, but after I install the SCP drivers, every time I shut down, sleep, or hibernate, this error is generated under Administrative Events:

Code:
The local Bluetooth adapter has failed in an undetermined manner and will not be used. The driver has been unloaded.
