Thanks, that really clears things up for me. Today when i started up my computer the DS4 controller is having REALLY bad lag issues. I stopped the service and started it again. I'm running windows 8.1 with the latest update of your service. Bluetooth is Kinivo BT 400.
EDIT: Found that if i point the DS4 at the bluetooth adapter on my computer, the lag issues are less and far in between. However, now and then with the USB attached I do get some lag periodically but not as bad as the BT. It seems the DS4's connection to the bluetooth isn't as strong as the DS3 connection and is losing connection sometimes.
Furthermore, had to do a system restore... I tried reinstalling all the drivers etc but once reinstalled, i got the whole DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (SCPVBus.sys) blue screen whenever I turned on the DS4 controller. Tried reinstalling everything and still no luck. System restore solved the problem.
Suggestions: In a txt file put down where all the .dll and sys files are located and being installed to so we can start debugging problems when reinstalling etc. Is there a way to determine if the DS4 is actually losing connection when the lag starts?
Otherwise this is a solid program for DS3. DS4 is getting there and am more than willing to help out.

Hey Scarlet, just wondering if you missed my request several pages back to add my new ASUS BT dongle to the list of supported ones. USB\VID_0B05&PID_17CB I guess I can simply add it manually, but just want to make sure it's in the next release. Thanks!
I'm having some problems pairing the controller. Whenever I unplug the USB cable, my PS3 controller just blinks on and off (all 4 lights). I'm running 64-bit Win 7.
Also, does this actually overwrite firmware on the USB dongle itself? If I want to use my bluetooth dongle for other stuff, is it possible to "revert" back? If so, how?
I thought my dongle was compatible, but maybe not. If I need to buy a new one, please recommend (what about
this one?)
I've included a zip file of some screenshots of stuff as well as log files. And just to add, the ds3 works fine when connected via USB, but does not pair when USB cable is disconnected. The host address in the monitor simply says <Error>.

Dink, thanks. Would
this be the one you're talking about?
Also, does using Scarlet's driver mean that I can never use my bluetooth dongle for anything other than the DS3 again, or will it be "like normal" if I simply uninstall the driver?
For example, let's say that one day I want to use my bluetooth mouse but I've installed Scarlet's driver. Can I just uninstall it and I'll be able to pair my bluetooth mouse?
hey scarlet.. got a weird problem.. running win 8 on alienware 14.. using the built in BT.. initial install works great.. no problems.. even after rebooting a number of times it works.. then I shut the system down to (go to work, sleep, whatever) and when restarted the SCP drivers are no longer working.. side note, on initial install wireless light works correctly, but when things fail wireless light does not work, tho the wireless still functions.. its a QUALCOMM Atheros BT and QUALCOMM killer wireless..
any help is appreciated..
Edit: The original BT drivers that ship with AW14 are supported by your basic install and work great.. the updated drivers for some reason are not supported, tho the install says it works, but the ZDIAG install works.. same problem with system down time and BT driver "turning off"
EDIT: Scratch most of that.. initial install and system works great. but any reboot and BT driver stops working.. USB connection still works so DS3 driver is working..
any help appreciated.. any system info needed can be provided..

Any word on my chip not making the LHCI connection?

The BT adapter will be dedicated to this program once it's loaded, but when you uninstall, it reverts back to a normal Bluetooth adapter. If you want to use other devices get a 2nd adapter for them.
Even if it's not on the supported list (see post #1) you can manually add it using the instructions here

Totally awesome, that procedure worked!
Another question -- I thought I had uninstalled the driver for my USB adapter, but it was still showing up as BTH DS3 when I plugged it in (in device manager). How do I go back so that I can use it with my bluetooth keyboard?
