I got it almost 2 months ago, and worked perfect with Scarlet's driver (.103 at the time. .138 now) perfectly since then.

I stumbled upon the answer to my own problem:
The DS4 won't show up as an x360 controller unless the DS3 USB driver has been installed.
I went back and connected a DS3 and it worked almost immediately. Once that was handled, I tried pairing my DS4 again, for the hell of it, and it showed up as controller 2 -- plus I saw a "installing xbox 360 wireless controller" dialog pop up and finish. After this, I swapped them using the monitor and the DS4 works flawlessly.
Great work Scarlett. Thanks for doing this!
I'm not sure if this is a problem with the driver, but ever since I started playing Metal Gear Rising my controller sometimes locks with an input. I can't get it to disconnect with Windows and the removal button combo obviously doesn't work. Strangely enough, I can see the button input it's stuck with on XInput Plus, but not with the Control Panel. And if you're wondering, I was not running XInput Plus.
In this case, left trigger to the top and square. L2 and R2 are not, the points just show analog measure.
I'm using a DS3 through USB cable and the latest version of the driver (1.1.0.138).

I tried the unblock option, running it as admin but nothing has worked. If anybody could give me suggestions, I would appreciate it! This is for my brother in law, I have this running on my windows 8.1 computer with no problems with Bluetooth enabled. Also is there a lilypad file I can download that has the bindings for pcsx2 already done? If not, what options do I need to have checked before I start assigning the buttons?
Update: I have the service installed when i run the scpdriver, but it wont start! As soon as i click start in windows services I get an error and it stops, could anyone help me please?

Try restarting your PC. That's what I did earlier.
Anyways, I just got this driver installed and it seems like the best driver so far. I was having latency/input issues with the other driver that's out there. x360ce worked fine, just limited options/annoying to setup for every game. Though, my bluetooth seems to have a mind of it's own. Got a new BT 4.0 Dongle yesterday and it worked flawlessly for like 7 hours, but would not pair today. Will have to fiddle around I guess.
I wanted to ask if anyone has the same problem using a USB cable for a DS4 that I have. This might be a DS4 design flaw or maybe the micro USB cable I bought is flawed (Spartan brand from EB Games). Anyways, when using a cable, even the slightest bump will make the controller disconnect/reconnect. Hell, I can't even rest the controller on my leg without it happening. I can replicate this every time just be very slightly tapping the USB cable with my finger. The cable I have doesn't seem very snug at all, there's a few mm of connection exposed, and the DS4 micro USB input kinda has an angle, compared to the cable, which is a straight design.
Anyone know of a better designed micro USB cable? Or maybe it actually is a design flaw with the DS4?
K i tried looking but cant seem to find an answer.
So I have all the requirements. I have windows 8.1. Using a DS 3 controller.
I have admistrator privileges. I checked all the other requirements and everything is up to date.
Downloaded the driver package, moved the /bin folder to my c drive. Ran the install. First time everything seemed to go well. the last line of the install summary had 3 or 4 things mentioned. I using USB so didnt check off the Bluetooth.
Then I close the window and nothing happened. Checked devices, nothing new, still only showing the PS controller. PS controller didnt work still only flashing lights and nothing happening.
Tried unistalling the PS controller drivers over and over again and trying again but now when I run the driver install I get only 2 lines in the install summary and still nothing works.
I watched install videos over and over again and I do everything step by step but when I press exit and windows is supposed to do its thing and update something it does nothing.
What can I do for this to work. I have a new version of window. I never had the motion joy software on here. There is hardly anything on this computer.
Any ideas. I have so many PS controllers would be a waste to have to buy a 360 controller but running out of options.
I like to thank you all for your help, i read some post that help me to pair my DS3 to my bluetooth dongle. one question... is there a way to swap L1,L2,R1,R2 to any position? (remapping) Thanks.
Can anyone possibly help me get this working in snes9x? The controller works over bluetooth and wired, but only on more modern stuff. Doesn't seem to be working with older emulators.
Edit: Nevermind, the damn thing doesn't even work wired anymore. The only program it's working with, wired or wireless, is PCSX, even though it's detected at all times.
Alright, just had to reinstall windows cause it was time for me to do it. Yet now the wrapper bearly works. Before my Bluetooth would work but now it doesnt, dont really care about it much but it was nice to have. When I try to use the controller(s) with USB one of three things happen.
1. Nothing at all, no flashing, no connection, nothing. Server is running same as service but host says disconnected and nothing will pop up.
2. The LED Flashes (all of them) on and off and in side the SCPuser controller one flickers as well( connected disconnected flicker.), yet the monitor shows nothing connected.
3. The controller will work for about 5 minutes than seem to disconnect it self (with it still being shown as connected and charged in the monitor) and will not reconnect till I reset my computer (just the service doesnt work) uninstall the drivers than reinstall them. Its a crap shoot on if it will work on normal or forced install.
Driver install shows
-- Install Summary --
SCP DS3 Service
Bus Device
Bus Driver
DS3 USB Driver
as the last lines every time on forced or not forced along with Bluetooth install.
@Sato, I had to give up using SNES9x because it kept crashing all the time, even with other controllers, but there's good news - ZSNESW works quite good with the Dualshock3. Heres a tip, when you configure the controller buttons, use the d-pad (pov) for up/down/left/right, and the analogue stick will be configured automatically, so you can use both/either/or
Heres the site:

A quick tip for better accuracy with the analogue stick & emulators is to set up the threshold on the left stick. Load scpmonitor.exe and right-click the scpmonitor icon in the tray, click Configuration and bring the slider for the left stick threshold about 3 ticks beyond the middle.
