@MrXLiebezeit: You can set the preferred DInput device for DInput games by doing the following -
1. Open
Devices and Printers.
2. Right-click on one of the controllers and select
Game controller settings.
3. Click
Advanced.
4. Select the controller you want as the preferred device from the drop-down list. *
5. Click OK.
* Unfortunately they will all have the same name [Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows)].
It sounds like your preferred device has been set to your DS3 (or not set at all and defaulting to your DS3), change it to one of the other ones on the list.
DInput does not use the XInput pad id, which is what is shown on the LEDs around the Guide button.
You don't need to Uninstall to disable your DS3, you can just stop the service. Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services. Scroll down the list to find
SCP DS3 Service. Right-click on it and select Stop.
@ADP: added an update for your hardware id, see Post
#1.

I see. Good to know. It's only a minor inconvenience anyway. I wish the game allowed for changing controls via a config file or even ingame, but it doesn't seem to work. It's a very nice program, much more convenient and easier to use than that suspicious Chinese program haha
@Scarlet.Crush
It was already set to the right one. Either way the games I'm talking about are XInput games, not DInput games, the DInput games actually use the right controller.
Again as I said the LED on the controller changes, so the Xinput ID is changing, not just the DInput ID.(But for some reason when you press the button it says on the screen it is still 1, though on the controller LED is says 2)
So I have to unplug the DS3 controllers, then unplug the X360 controller. Then replug them back in in order. Then after awhile it goes back to the DS3 being the first Xinput device...
@MrXLiebezeit: XInput pad ids are assigned by the XInput subsystem, in the order that they are found / connected. To guarantee a specific order just connect them in the order that you want.
1. Disconnect your X360 pads.
2. Disconnect your DS3 from USB, restart the service or reboot.
3. Connect your pads in the order you want their XInput pad id to appear.
Are your X360 pads Wireless?
@Scarlet.Crush
No they are not wireless.
Also, when I do that it looks like it works and the Xbox pad is #1 again. Then when I start a game, it changes to #2.
It just doesn't make sense, as I plug them in in the right order, and at first it has the right ID, but then when I start a game it changes, and the LED on the controller goes from 1 to 2. No devices are plugged in or unplugged. It just changes when a game is started.
@MrXLiebezeit: that is bizarre, once an XInput pad id is assigned it should not change (unless it is unplugged). There is no documented XInput api which allows the id to be changed. As I mentioned the XInput pad id is assigned by the XInput subsystem, the drivers have no control over it.
Does it happen on all XInput games? or just a specific game?
Thank You Scarlet. It Works great.
@Scarlet.Crush
Yes, it does it with all Xinput games, and even some Dinput games. Again, it changes both the Xinput and the Dinput ID.
It is so weird too. As it looks fine until a game starts, then the LEDs on the X360 controllers start flipping out and then they settle on being 2 and 3 instead of 1 and 2.
I won't bother you anymore though, I think I'll just switch back to my DS2 controllers with the Dinput converter I used years ago for PSX and PS2 emulation.

The behaviour is bizarre at best, tbh it sounds like you have a virus / malware which is preventing the ScpControl.dll from being loaded. are you seeing any other strange behaviour on your PC?
Well, before I started to attempt using your software, I was using Motion in Joy. But before trying to use your software, I cleaned my PC of all MiJ files as you suggested in a post where you say to uninstall those devices of human interface relate to MiJ
I quit that goddamn program because it BSOD my PC. After I cleaned my my PC of all its files, the BSODs stopped and since then my PC is running as smoothly as possible, no problems at all.
But I gave you enough trouble lol. I'm about to buy a receiver for the Xbox controller, it's easier. But if you think that I could help you improve yous software in any way by trying solve the problems in my PC, I would be glad help
