The driver install is painless, in fact I completely forgot the process after I got everything working. Your mileage may vary, obviously, but like I said I have had no trouble at all.

My BT-211 arrived, and I'm having trouble getting it pairing. I installed the Asus drivers off the web. They installed fine, and when I plugged the dongle into my USB 2.0 slot it detected it and I got a bluetooth icon in the tray.

Then I installed the SCP drivers (tried "Force Install"). The bluetooth tray icon disappeared (as expected), but when plugging in my DS3 it doesn't pair. Any ideas? It works fine via USB.

Here are my log files:

Finally got it working--I had to plug the dongle into one of my two precious case-front USB slots. For some reason all of the USB 2.0 slots in the back seem to have incredibly terrible range, to the point where it wasn't pairing until the controller was 1 foot away from the dongle.
Samyrius, yeeep, you'll run into that with any of the very small dongles. The only way to avoid that is to get a bigger dongle, preferably one with a real antenna sticking out of it. Ooooor, do what I did and cheat. I am using two Asus BT-211s plugged into a USB hub, connected to the back of my PC with a 3ft USB extension cable. Both dongles take up only one USB plug on the back of my PC, and yet they sit on my desk with line of sight to avoid any antenna problems.
It's not the prettiest solution, but in my setup, since I use my PC for Wii emulation, and connected to my TV, I made a little mod to a Wii sensor bar to slip in a USB hub inside as well. Has been working wonders since. Looks like a regular Wii sensor bar when viewed from a distance. Depending on your situation though, I suggest MaJoR's suggestion first and foremost. But if you are interested, I made a thread here showing off what I did:

http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-MOD-USB-W...rt-USB-hub

Created basically using 2 usb wii sensor bars off ebay, and a cheap corded USB hub (also from ebay). Keep in mind the solution is barbaric at best, and not for everyone. Works for me personally because all of my USB adapters are very small and slim. anything bigger than a External USB plug probably wont fit, but I have two Bluetooth adapters, and a Logitech unifying receiver connected to mine, with an extra slot for any other possible USB mini adapters in the future (possibly mini wifi adapter?) The setup is great for my needs because, with it set atop my tv, it is relatively higher than everything else, so I get no objects obstructing view. Smile

EDIT: should've mentioned that yes, this is for the Bluetooth for DS3 controllers as well. lol. Also, the reason I mention it being "barbaric at best" is because even some of my mini adapters were too big of a fit. to force a proper fit in such a tiny slot such as the wii sensor bar, I had to "dissect" one Bluetooth adapter by opening it up and exposing its circuit board, which in turn allowed it to be small enough to fit. the Logitech receiver was the same, though I couldn't actually figure out how to open it up without destroying it, so I ended up using a hot knife to melt the size of the housing on said adapter. One of my Bluetooth adapters is a Rocketfish brand, which was so slim on its own, I managed to fit it with no hassle. The project just depends on what your willing to do, but for me, I'm glad I did it. Smile
I need some help. So here is my problem. I usually use my computer to charge my ps3 controller while I am playing my ps3. But now ever since I downloaded this program and installed the drivers I can no longer do this. Every time I plug my ps3 controller in to my computer when its synced to the ps3 it unsync from the ps3 and sync to my computer. I want to uninstall these drivers but I cant figure out how. I have ran the program and clicked uninstall with and without my controller plugged in to my computer. I have also done a system restore but nothing has worked. So can some one please help me out so I can actually use my controller on my ps3 while plugged in it my computer.

You shouldn't have needed to do a system restore. More than likely, there's still trace files on your computer; it's something that happens when you install anything, pretty much.

To make sure things go smoothly, reinstall the drivers and all of that good stuff. Then download ccleaner ( http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner ) and install it.

Afterward, uninstall xinput wrapper and then run ccleaner and click registry. Scan for registry issues, and you'll no doubt see a billion of them. A handful of those will be from xinput wrapper, but the majority of them will be from every other program you've installed/uninstalled.

Anyhoo, after scanning for issues, click fix issues. Click no to the backup, and on the next prompt, hit fix. Repeat the process two or three times to make sure you get everything. After that, restart your computer and you should be good.

And then use ccleaner to clean your computer. You'll be surprised by how much stuff is taking up space on your pc. Tongue

Have you tried syncing your controller back to your PS3?

If the above didn't clear up your issue, then the only other possible reason things could be messing up is because you didn't sync the controller back to the system.

Yes I synced the controller back to the ps3. I was using it to play a game on my ps3 then plugged it in to my computer charge it cause the battery was low. then tried to start playing the game again and the controller wasnt synced to the ps3 any more
oh god, please don't run ccleaner, you can totally stuff your system up if you don't know what you're doing.

All you need to do is make use of the Windows driver uninstaller that should have been created during the drivers installation process, i assume scarlet.crush is using dpinstall or similar which creates it.

It should be named similar to "Windows Driver Package - Scarlet blah blah (Driver date and version)" in programs and features
