Hello! I'm a MotionInJoy user trying to find a better alternative to their janky software.
SCP DS3 drivers here look like they work well for xinput, but I would like to know if it also has the option to function as directinput, like when you select PS3 or PS2 controller modes in motioninjoy.
Directinput is absolutely necessary in my case because of all the old games I still play that use directinput. I also prefer to be able to set the controller to recognize the analog triggers as buttons instead of analog for compatibility reasons in various games.
Do the SCP DS3 drivers include this functionality, or any parts of it?
One last question: Is the PS3 BD remote compatible with this? It's a pain in the ass to get working with motioninjoy.
Thank you!
Hi.
I'm currently trying out the PC version of Final Fantasy VII but for some strange reason the menu controls can't be mapped to the d-pad, only the left joystick. Would it be possible to use the profile manager tool to make a press on the d-pad be mapped to the joystick digitally (digital d-pad push -> full joystick?).
I guess I could use auto hotkey to map it the keyboard but I'm curioius if that would be possible.

I picked up another bluetooth dongle so that I could connect my wiiremotes to my computer. Unfortunately, I can't find a way to get my second dongle recognized as a bluetooth device. it just seems to be recognized as a DS3 BTH Device. I've tried uninstalling the driver and uninstalling the software through ScpDriver.exe. I'm not sure what to try next. Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you!
ScpDriver.exe install/uninstall process is kind of dumb. It will only install/unintall all supported dongles and won't let you select certain dongle to use/ignore. All we can do is to install all and then do some manual uninstalling the other ones.
Here's how:
> Open "Devices and Printers" window > Right-click one of two "BTH DS3 Device" and click "Properties"
If you're not sure which one to uninstall then you better type something along with "Location:" in "Hardware" tab & save as .txt file in SCP folder to remember which one you should uninstall.
> "Hardware" tab > Properties > Change Settings > "Driver" tab > Uninstall > [X] "Delete the driver software for this device" > OK
Might have to restart your PC to take effect.

Ok, so I followed the steps to install this for my ps3 controller, and it worked wirelessly; but after I followed the steps in this wiki provided to me by an admin:
SCP Driver Package Wiki, and following the PCSX2 and PCSX-R steps to get this controller working, it started to freeze when I included the XInput file from either the win32 or 64 bit folder
I ended up unistalling the SCP files (service included), reinstalled the 360 wireless controller files, and system restored before I installed it; ill include the emuLog file that might help, but can anyone help, or will I have to Pm an admin or Scarlet.Crush instead?
Also, my bluetooth dongle is built into my comp, and I tried to get my ps3 controller to work wirelessly, but no dice, only worked when plugged into the comp USB style
Okay so I was able to get this working seamlessly on my main rig but am having trouble getting bluetooth to work on my laptop.
I noticed when I'm running Scpdriver.exe, bluetooth driver is not listed in the install summary. Is this an incompatibility with the bluetooth that's built in?
I'm using windows 8.1
Edit: I think it's the built in dongle; seems it's a slightly newer revision of one of the dongles on the supported list.
Edit 2: Took some troubleshooting but I got it working, thanks for program. It's solid and will definitely recommend.
I am trying to map the triggers to 11/12 (Instead of axis) or Q and E buttons I modified the ScpMapper.xml but it doesn't work. Is this a limitation of xinput wrapper? I know it's possible in xpadder but I'm trying to avoid using that especially since it's paid software.
I modified the map triggers profile and set it to active.
Code:
<Button>
<L2>Q</L2>
<R2>E</R2>
</Button>
<Axis>
<L2>None</L2>
<R2>None</R2>
</Axis>
Any help would be much appreciated, the game is unplayable without all the controls.

You can do this easily, open ScpMapper.xml You will se a bunch of profiles, what you want is there by default called 'Fast Triggers', So all you need to do is change the active profile here: <Active>Fast Triggers</Active>
You may need to restart the service, open ScpServer.exe and stop > start
I cant find bin all i see is Source and Sample. Please help me!!!!
You downloaded the wrong package. >_> You need to download the latest VERSION, not the latest UPDATE.

Alternatively, use the Profile Manager available in the ScpMonitor.exe tray icon menu. This also has the advantage that you don't need to restart the service, just click the "activate" button.
SCP Monitor is a pretty handy utility altogether, I have it in my startup directory.
