Then navigate to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Xbox 360 Accessories\" and rename XBoxStat.exe to something like XboxStat.exe.old (or delete it).
That will get rid of the popup.
Then Google a utility called "GuideCall".
You will find a utility that was designed mainly for using the Guide(PS) button for launching XBMC. But it also has a couple of other possible remapping options also.
I tried XPadder. But it doesn't appear to respond to that button.
Thanks. Having the PS button send an Escape is more useful than it doing nothing. It's an ugly indirect implementation though (it runs a silent executable each press) and I'd love to have PS as a fully configurable HID button as with MIJ drivers.
Here's a more configurable version of the same solution:

I'm afraid it would take actually altering the X360 driver to make it a proper button :/
first i'm new here and just came to thank @scarlet.crush for his awesome piece of software
now can i ask if u can upload the scpcontrol.dll for tilt control for the driver version 1.2.2.175?
i would love to do that on my own but i will hav to download visual studio just to edit this .. and i got a slow internet... :/
also i got a problem.. i'm using this with internal bluetooth of my laptop so every time i restart i hav to uninstall and reinstall scp drivers to make it work again... any help regarding this issue?
i've tried a workaround suggested by @wyfer based on devcon.exe but i cannot make it work for unknown reason!
thx for the help

I have tried that one too. But didn't like the way it runs, having the open window. You can minimise it of course, but not a really elegant solution

I had the exact same problem. My fix is to stop the scp service, install original bt driver, install scp driver without the scp tool but from device manager and start the service again.
With the nice tool devcon.exe i made a bat. file that does this fast every start/wakeup without the problem that other apps not recognizing the pad
devcon for win7/8 64bit: http://delphintipz.blogspot.de/2012/07/d...abled.html
the file looks like this:
net Stop "SCP DS3 Service"
devcon.exe update "C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\qca_btusb.inf_amd64_65456a64af54d\qca_btusb.inf" "USB\VID_0CF3&PID_3004&REV_0001"
devcon.exe update "C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\bthwinusb.inf_amd64_8495fa65842d1\BthWinUsb.inf" "USB\VID_0CF3&PID_3004&REV_0001"
net Start "SCP DS3 Service"
You have to change the driver location and the HW-ID of your bt-dongle.
I found the driver location by completely removing and reinstalling booth original and scp drivers and sorting C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository folder by time.
As a nice side effect you can use the first half of the code to deactivate scp to use your bt normal with other devices and the second half of the code to activate it to pair your ds3 again.
I hope this will help you.
I've got to say that was an excellent find using Devcon(which funny enough I had never heard of). I was running two Bluetooth dongles. My new one that supports EDR for the excellent SCP driver. And an old one for normal Bluetooth use.
I had knocked up a quick batch file to disconnect the Xbox360 controller from the system when not in use by simply starting and stopping the SCP DS3 Service".
I will now knock one up, so I can switch to normal Bluetooth use. And use the newer faster Bluetooth adapter for both.
Awesome.
Cheers

If you are on Windows, press the Windows button + R, a window should pop up. Type "services.msc" (without the quotes) in it and press Enter. Search for SCP Driver in the long list, select it and click on "Start service".

Hey guys,
So I just got my ds3 controller to work flawlessly connected via the usb cable but for some reason I can't pair my controller. It seems like the software won't recognize my laptop's native Bluetooth adapter.
I got the adapter's drivers all installed and working and yet, I can not work it out.
When I open the SCPserver window, it seems like everything's good except I am unable to click the pairing button.
Any help?!
Hi everyone,

I installed the virtual bus driver and run the tool but don't see any reaction at the software test.

Pinnacle Game Profiler can remap the PS button to anything, I mapped it to save/load sstates. A great alternative to xpadder

Is it in the compatible list?
