Keep in mind that the game have some kind of anti-cheating protection and some of the codes may not work or may make pcsx2 crash

Console did NOT list the region code, only that it was a PAL.

Are you sure this is the correct crc?
And btw,from where you get the crc,on the same line there is something like this
ELF (cdrom0:\S***_***.**;1)
What's the full name.

Or if you can't find it...
Inside the disk/image you'll find a file with name that look like this
S***_***.**
