I am making an EXcel games list to know which of my favourite ps2 games can i play with my desktop specs, cause i cant trust in the compatibility list showing on the web, cause people "normally" have other kind of specs n their "compatibility" cant be "ours" too! xD
So anyway,i found final fantasy x-2,silent hill shattered memories and final fantasy vii dirge of cerberus not compatibles with my pc specs! Pity...
Can you give me some advice about what i need to update here to play this ones with average playability? I cant spend much money right now,so i am asking for a cost–benefit analysis...

PC Specs:

Motherboard: ASUS P5G41T-M LX INTEL G41 DDR3
Processor: SLA94 Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 2.4GHz
Ram: DDR3 4gb (2gbx2) PC10600 1333mhz
Video Card: Dell ATI Radeon HD5450 1GB DDR3
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32Bits
I used to go on these forums a lot, but I kinda went my own way and forgot about PCSX2. Well, I'm trying to save up for a laptop, and being a 13-year-old is not an easy way to get money. So, how will well will laptops run PCSX2 nowadays. I'm looking at an i3 or over, but probably an i5. It has come to my attention that quad cores are now usable with all cores, am I wrong? So how fast am I going to get on an i5 laptop with games like Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Gran Turismo, Shadow of the... well just any game.
Most laptops now have horrible intel graphics cards(since its in the cpu most manufactures just decided to use that), bad thermal design (meaning they aren't made to run hot for long period of time.) , and usually limitations on the hardware level because of the compact designs.

There are probably a few laptops out there that can run pcsx2 good but they will have to be really high end and have a dedicated video card (usually pretty costly),
Hello there!, I'm planing to buy a new PC soon and I want to know if I'll be able to play Final Fantasy XII at 720p with full AA with this PC:

CPU: Intel I3-2100 @ 3.10Ghz
RAM: Kingston DDR3 1333Mhz 4GB
Motherboard: Asrock H61M-VS
GPU: GeForce 9400GT 1GB

I can play it with my actual PC but in 720p and without AA at only 30-50 fps.
No that 9400 is too weak to handle 1280x720 in this game, and why would you buy such a weak and old card with that nice i3 processor? I'd suggest you get a GT 250 or something close to that. That would handle even 1920x1080

So you wouldn't think a Core i5 at turbo boost 3.1GHz with a cooling pad would at least get some decent fps on games? I don't really want a desktop because I want to be able to move around with it.
