What is your graphics card though? Cause a decent one also helps in emulation =D
THe laptop that i bought. (still in the factory) has a 755m gt
More than good enough, should be able to play games no problem ^^
how about amd 8 core processors.??? how many FPS can i get w/o overclocking.???

depends on the game.
8 cores is useless for pcsx2
So turbo boost makes it so people don't really have to overclock for better PCSX2 performance right? Turbo boost is essentially overclocking by itself?

sort of.
to picture it easily, let's say your total of Ghz is "shared" between the cores.
If an application uses 1 core only, turbo boost may be able to boost this only core while shutting down the others. Same if you use only 2 cores, they will get a performance boost (less than if you use one core only)
about pcsx2 : basically, pcsx2 uses 2 cores. (3 with MTVU hack) Means the max boost value given by your constructor won't be reached since pcsx2 never uses 1 core only.

So since naturally PCSX2 uses 2 cores, it would mean the i7 4700MQ turbo boost would probably be like 2.9 ghz for two cores then right?

I don't know for sure, but I'd say that's a pretty good estimate.

Alright thanks!
The max turbo boost for the 4700 MQ is 3.4 ghz for one core.
I am more leaning it would be 3.1/3.0 ghz for two cores then.
probably,something like that.
I dunno how turbo boost feature makes its "sharing" exactly.
