Alright, I need help, too! I'm interested in emulating it, simply because I'd be cool to play on my computer, but I'm actually quite positive my specs are like, poop.
I'm interested in seeing if my system is compatible with Persona 3, 4, Final Fantasy X, or Xenosaga Episode 1. @_@;;
I'm probably just better off playing on actual PS2, tho'.

Here are my specs~
I use a GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 graphics/video card. @_@;;
AMD Sempron™ Processor LE-1300, ~2.3 GHz processor, and I have Direct X 11.
Do I need to prive more information? I know my specs are crap, and I'm also new to this. @_@;;
I'm just interested to know if could run any of those games at a remotely decent pace!

You're right, your specs are beyond poop You shouldn't be able to play any modern PC games even with that rig, let alone emulate the PS2

That aren't like, a billion dollars. ;< With a 50-200 dollar range a piece?

In the 100 dollar range a 9800GT (or GT250 i think it's called now) is a nice choice. Also, if you want to be future proof you can get one of the new 5xxx range of ATI which is also pretty nice and good value for money. For CPU I'd recommend one of Intel's Core series, the faster you can get the better.

Can anyone tell me how pentium DC class processors are handling PS2 emulation?
i will like to build cheap media center pc just to watch hd movies and play games on emulators (mame, psxfin...)
i'm thinking on using Pentium DC CPU + Mobo with Gforce chipset and integrated GPU, has anyone test PCSX2 on such configuration? can you tell me if it will be playable? i will play mostly rpg&fighting games, this pc of mine must run tekken 5 on playable speed.

if configuration that i'm thinking of is to weak,can anyone point me out a hardware that can do it?

No, all that will not be playable with an integrated GPU. If by Pentium DC you mean Core 2 Duo yes they will perform well (give it's at least 2,4 Ghz) if you mean Pentium D (don't think so, people still sell those??) then no it won't do.
For recommended hardware, it's all over this thread read up a bit and you'll have your answer.

sorry for this pentium DC stands for Pentium Dual Core its lite (cut-down of some features; 1,89-2,2GHz) version of Core 2 Duo sold mainly to poor ppl from poor countries
And this integrated GPU that i was thinking of is GF 9400 based...
do you guys think that this spec. will be not enough?

second option for me is old GF7900GS 512MB OC... this will be better right? but with my budget Pentium DC (Athelon) is only option maybe someone else have pc that is something like this and can tell me how it's performing?

No, Pentium DC and an integrated GPU will NOT be enough. Maybe for some extremely simple 2D games like Disgaea but that's all.
