Not great, but it will play 'some' games. But don't expect a whole lot. Laptops just aren't great at cpu intensive tasks.

Depends on the games. It's a fairly slow dual core system...
System Specs:
OS: Windows 7 Home (64bit)
CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-3570 3.40 GHz Quad Core
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB 16X PCIe
MOBO: GIGABYTE Z77-DS3H Intel Z77 Chipset DDR3 ATX Mainboard
RAM: 16GB (8GBx2) Corsair Vengeance
HDD: 2TB SATA-III
Will this handle most graphic intensive games smoothly like Shadow of the Colossus? I tested Champions of Norrath, and so far that game is the only one that seems to have graphical problems even on software mode.

That system should have absolutely no problem with SotC. You may need to tweak some speed hacks to maintain full speed throughout (maybe VU cycle steal on 1 or 2) but in general it should work well.

forget about baldur's gate 2. It works only in software mode and requires a monster PC to make it run.
dunno about the 2 others, though...
System Specs:
OS: Windows 8 Professional 64-bit
MOBO: Intel Extreme DP67BG P67 Chipset
CPU: Intel i5-3570K @ 3.4 GHz
GPU: EVGA GeForce GT620 2GB DDR3
RAM: 8GB [2x4GB] Crucial Ballistix Sport 1600 MHz [PC3-12800]
Realize the board uses a slightly-outdated chipset but I've checked everything from a compatibility standpoint and it all works out. My only question is, will it be sufficient to run PCSX2? And... about how well/poor could I expect the performance to be?
The cpu is excellent but the gpu is poor. Replace the gpu with any GDDR5 model and you will be all set.
I was worried about the GPU bringing me down.
I know it does depend on the exact game I'm running, but about how big of an impact will using the current GPU have on performance? I did have another one lined up [a GTX460, which I've heard is fairly decent], but literally at the last second when I was about to purchase it, they ran out of it.
Also, to the best of my knowledge, any GDDR5 would run on PCI Express 3.0 and my current board only supports 2.0. Would it be worthwhile to still seek one out?
