Just want to report that games run alright at GS 2x Native on Radeon Mobility 5730 1GB graphic, possibly 3x no prob. However CPU is the biggest requirement for running games at HD emulation. I have i7-720QM which is a laptop CPU runs at 1.6GHz base speed, is having hard time and must use speedhack to run games at 70-90% on native fps. Really wish to get a desktop and OC i7-2600K to 4.6GHz.
Make sure to download a recent svn and enable the mtvu hack, should allow the i7 720qm to reach full speed in the majority of games, sans very demanding ones.
I would hesitate to assume MTVU is always the best option with that processor,
because it will ensure it never achieves it's substantial 2-core Turbo Boost.
Without running at the 2-core boost @ 2.4Ghz,
you have a sub-2.0Ghz processor.
That is sure to see many limitations among games.
Still could even see limits @ 2.4Ghz with any game remotely heavy.
Just tried 0.9.9.5138 svn, there's notable smoothness in games and task manager shows quad threading. Another good thing for multithreading is that it lowered the CPU heat by 10 degrees Celsius. But sadly 1.6GHz still isn't enough.
By the way, the svn crashed when doing a state shutdown.
It's not really quad threading,
it is just the nature of Windows to spread loads across all cores.
It doesn't always happen, but unfortunately can prevent some Turbo Boosts.
Believe me-- It's 2 cores with standard use, and 1 extra thread with MTVU.
The UI and background noise may tickle it's own thread a little,
but it's nothing towards performance.

Seeing as how I've been using the Mtvu hack on an i7 720qm for over half a year with solid results for games like: Dark Cloud 1, Dark Cloud 2, Rogue Galaxy, Dragonquest 8, Sonic Unleashed, Devil May Cry 1, Dragon Ball Z Budokai (not Tenkaichi) and a few others, I can say that its been a great help at achieving full speed with minimal speed hacks. Unfortunately turbo boost for 3/4 cores is at a perma 1.73Ghz without a Blck overclock, however trying to force it to sustain its 2.4Ghz turbo boost for 2 cores (without Mtvu hack) is much easier said than done, regardless of affinity and core manipulation. Be my guest trying to attain full speed without the mtvu hack, however you'd almost always suffer without utilizing it on any game that benefits from said hack..
Not arguing with your experience there, but I'm sure you see why I'd say that.
Since the gain from MTVU can vary between games,
I'm sure many could see a substantial enough gain compared to the extra 600Mhz+,
but I'm also sure some could do a little better with a higher clock, and without MTVU.
It is always good to hear of more and more user's experience with their hardware,
like our other member with an i7-720QM that claims no trouble ever seeing their 2.4Ghz Boost.
Im trying to Run dbz: Budokai 3
its a bit laggy...tryin to make it run smoother my current specs are
Processor- 6.4
RAM- 7.2
Graphics- 5.4
gaming graphics- 6.1
primary hard disk- 5.8
the type of graphics card i have is the Intel® HD Graphics Family.
if u can provide me with solutions...links anythin would help. thanks.
what are those numbers ?
keep native internal res, since your GPU will hold you back.
try using some speedhacks, too
As a side note : better make your own thread when your question deals with a particular game.
Jesalvein those are the numbers from the Windows Index Score Benchmark
