trans4 - With ZeroGS doesn't seem to happend at first sight, but if you look close enough, u'll see that only first layer is buggy
trans1 - doesn't happend in zeroGS

btw ZZogl r148 for linux

Well rev 108 still has the bug, so i'll go backwards, but as there are no compiled ones, it will take me some time
Results: (testing....done)
* rev 88,87,85 won't compile
* trans4 - Rev 64 to 79 - Works PERFECT (r63 has the same bug as zeroGS/r80to86 has the old bug again/r89 has the new bug)
* trans1 - as of r86 doesn't apears (r89 does)
Zeydlitz : FFXII works great with 148 revision ! No problems with water, persons, and graphic textures !!!! Just FPS are low (~37 within AA, and ~32 with AA 4x).
Hey, amazing improvements :-) FFXII works at full speed also in Rabanastre with 4x AA. small glitches on character and map, however....great work Bro ! :-)
If you don't already have a copy of Atelier Iris 1, that's one that I usually like to keep an eye on for graphical issues(Mainly due to bad problems with a black background flashing when moving in areas with a lot of items, like the town that's your base for most of the game. I'll have to see what the latest iteration of this bug is. It changes occasionally.). And it's in the same series as Mana Khemia, which I know you have. Knowing what you have would help, though.

And there's always the "pulling a couple titles out of the bargain bin" technique. That way, you might end up with less tested games, and find issues people aren't reporting.

Oh, if you happen to see a copy of Erementar Gerad, grab it. The thing is horribly touchy about what graphics plugins it runs on(Only runs properly on ZeroGS, and even then the graphics are bad.). And it has a hardcoded hack in pcsx2 specifically for one bug in it, which makes it worthy of note. Or Ico, maybe?

What speed hacks and general settings are you using? I had problems getting into the game itself with ZZogl Tongue2 (It crashes for me at opening video. Setting the slow modes in Advanced however, works. (But it's quite slow Tongue) One thing is bothering me though, why does the plugin automatically activate the FFX hack in FF XII? o.O

Also, I have another issue with FF X, and it's a rather nasty one. It's almost completely random, and it causes the whole emulator to grind to a halt, which affect the rest of the system. The emu doesn't really crash per se, but it goes down to something like 0.1 fps, and the rest of the system is unusable. If I am early, I can manage to Ctrl+Del+Backspace myself out of X. I've disabled all kinds of speed hacks etc, but still the same issue. I can't remember getting these errors with ZeroGS.

Well, the "almost" random thing. It seems to only occur at times when it fails to render bitmask textures. I entered the first cloister of trials in Besaid, and pretty much all textures on the walls are gone. When I get to the door in the floor under, the emu slows down quite alot for no apparent reason. When I walk through the door, the speed comes back again. Now, when I try to open the door leading to the destruction sphere inside the wall, I get first really slow speed, and then it just grinds to a halt, in which I actually had to hard-shutdown the computer since the whole thing hanged itself. This has happened two times in a row on the exact same spot, which leads me to the thought that it may not be completely random.

I've tried with(out) speed hacks, with(out) AA (it used to cause troubles in ZeroGS at least), pretty much everything vanilla. Anyone else have the same issue? I have the PAL version of FF X if that helps.
(05-03-2009, 05:44 PM)Zeydlitz Wrote: [ -> ]It's easy: version number are hardcoded and I change it not in every commit. Number stored in GSmain.cpp and configure.ac (for file). I know how to made it commit-specific, but simply have no time for it.

By the way, I have an option to purchase some games. Which one should I try?

Shadow Hearts 2: The Covenant

Great game, and also doesnt work too well using zzogl, wouldve loved to see it fixed. Many love if you could try to fix Naruto Accel 2 and Bleach Batters 2 asewll =o

Oh and Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, no work either :<
thmaister, this looks as memory (graphic's card memory) corruption, and it's not unusual. Bitmasks could made memory leak, as I think, so do exit from pcsx2 from time to time.

I have VP2, but this game is crushed on linux, so it's small that I could do.

p.S. I prefer games, that look weird on GSDX. When you spoke about fix, made a notice, that I prefer clearly looking bugs, that could be shown with easy test. Glitches are hard to fix.
Zeydlitz, do you think that you can work on FPS in game, or it is PCSX2's developpers that must work on it ?

I try FFX-2, and that is what I find with 147 revision :

All options set to default, i think that works well for my specs.
haquel this whole messages are pcsx2 reports.
